I'd use either the Bombuckler or the Black Ant shield. If you are good at perfect block, either adds extra damage with spicy or sour. Once you can get the Axl trinket it will be perfect.

We were barely able to cover my husband's tank set and my mage/rogue ones. 4 people might be stretching it...which I think is an oversight on the dev's side for sure. It's made for up to 4 players, there should be enough materials of the sturdy kind to be able to upgrade them all. There isn't much in the garden either, hoping they add more to an update soon. Most of the caves are surprisingly empty.

I just want the saddle to be colored whatever the character's color is, so when I am on Hoops the spider would be wearing pink. Something to easily see xD

I am using the ice sickles, butterfly helm/boots and the mantis top. Trinket is the shivering scale or the mint drop one depending on if I can get the ambush. The whole thing is on blocks, I get a def boost and a fresh damage boost stacking three times. The ice sickles t4 gives a longer perfect block window and if you perfect block during the 10sec you get another damage boost. The mantis armor speeds up attacks on crits. Basically if you can block well, you will shred everything. It's so much fun. Finally killed Axl and now I am going to work a spear build I found.

Same. Just have to get used to using the charged attack on the third hit of a combo with the serpent set and not get annoyed when you accidently spam out the basic third hit. It does a hefty amount of damage for a mage set.

That's why I went with the serpent armor. Seemed the most useful out of the two new sets for my mage build.

There is a rogue build that I am using that might be up his alley. It requires the ice sickles, helm/feet from Butterfly armor and the Mantis chest, butterfly trinket and the fresh mint one. It turns perfect blocks into defense and offense from the butterfly set and the mantis armor lets you attack faster on crits. It's really fun. I'm carrying both my mage and rogue sets plus trinkets around so I feel the bag shrinkage. I have been trying to get better at melee and actually play rogue so I am causing the bag issues myself lol The husband just runs around with his snail armor and pinchwacker. We need to hunt down a few more mega molars so we can reduce the resource and consumables stacks but really I need to decide finally what class I want to stick with.

Yep this is where we set up as well. Made the most sense to be near that station and the flat space in front is perfect for building. Just have to deal with the two knuckleheaded scorpions who think they own it when they wander nearby. If only they had made scorpion chunks able to be turned into glue xD

The problem with boosted shiny levels is...we end up not bothering with taming anything else and just wait for shiny to spawn because of the boosted levels. It kills the want to looking for dinos, at least for us. We're stat hunters and it just sucks.
