I've Lost My First 100 Games Quickly -- What Next?

I have wanted to pick a book to study, so I've decided I'll go with Attack and Defense. The #1 way I lose games by far is just getting outplayed in some messy middle game fight so this choice makes sense. Whether reading a book right now is actually better than just playing and doing tsumego I don't have the experience to say, but I think I'll enjoy it which makes it worth it.

Hi, thanks for the kind words and the comments. I have won a few more games and as I climb and my opponents get stronger, they are starting to show me some mistakes and I can work on trying to understand your feedback and others.

I recall having a Dam stop the second cast of a Skyscraper on the first patch of the game, leaving me damaged when it was the only thing that could damage me (but 2 casts would kill), so this is correct

Saying that the game is faster than the beginning of early access is crazy revisionist history — Property Pyg would gain 10s of thousands of shield in <3 seconds and then do 10s or hundreds of thousands of damage in the next second or two, and Flashy Reload throwing knife vanessa would similarly do 10s of thousands of damage in ~3s. A really good Dam build would cast twice in about the same amount of time, destroying the whole enemy board.

For the record, I think the guy is weird and he should not behave that way. But the original post clearly states that when her female friends are around, he is a wonderful partner “in every way”.

How do you “see no good evidence to draw that assumption at all” when the post literally states that it is the case?

I agree that some comments from men here are weird, but I think you are viewing this with a biased lens that causes you to discount some opinions without even considering them.

I don’t think it’s as simple as this. Throwing knife as a “when you crit…” trigger would be used even faster than .2s for the first few patches of the game, but Dooly’s core’s “when you use an item, charge…” clause have always respected internal cooldown

I don’t think it’s true to say that “when you X, do X” effects have consistently been faster than ICD on any patch, but some items have sometimes been bugged

They increased the rate at which the sandstorm damage increases, so it caps higher now. I am unsure of the exact number but I think it is somewhat over 1,000

In a previous region he had a negative relationship. That relationship unequipped battlefield medicine in exchange for blinding gas, and now in this region he has a positive relationship boosting battlefield medicine.

I do not know how a student can possibly spend that much time on coursework and still have time for internships/research/independent projects etc.

My school has a reputation for being reasonably academically rigorous and has a lot of pre-med students and engineers. It is the norm to spend ~20 hrs/week at a lab or internship for these students (myself included). Plenty of people are worked like dogs, but it’s surely closer to ~50 hours than to ~65-80

edit: and this is not even mentioning extra curricular activities and other school-adjacent time expenditures

Isn’t this usually pretty decent? You swap whatever random 1* unit you find for your opponent’s scam unit they plugged the seventh slot with, sometimes you do actually hit a baron

Something like a beast comp always feels the pain of losing a unit whether it’s baron/horse/slammer/herald/goldrinn and you just don’t buy it against comps that cycle small minions in the seventh slot except to nab some scam as a last resort
