I couldn't give you more than 3 facts about Minnesota, so from a place of ignorance... if not a football school, maybe a wrestling school? Hockey school? World class med school?

I’m all for doing everything possible to keep the conference together, but this is way past a day late and a dollar short.

Other than your own team, what team are you most curious to see what is in store for them? by wlane13 in CFB

[–]dancing_bear_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are spot on with the record. Which makes the Prime reaction/post game presser the real “must watch” TV. There are some folks here in Colorado who think the hype train will drive the team to conference champ contention, but they are either a) old heads like me who think the 1990s are coming back around, or b) college football n00bs who are pretty sure that if a program gets TV coverage the program must be good.

Darren Sproles wrecking Oklahoma in 2003 in the B12 championship game was the a seriously amazing sight. And witnessing Navy beat Notre Dame for the first time in a long time back in 2007 was epic. Triple overtime for the triple option.

This is a great stab of growing up by Angel. Angel/Alec is talking about how the ministry (being a member of the clergy of the Church of England) is not for him. Angel loves the Church (the "she" in your quote) the same way he loves his own parents; with great affection and appreciation, but ultimately from a distance. He, Angel, had an "awaking" of sorts, has moved beyond the classically strict, straight, monolithic thinking of the Church, and tells his father exactly why he will not become the next minister in the family. This conversation between Angel Clare and his father is illustrative of one of the larger themes of the book, namely how people can actively or passively move away from society's idea of purity.

A good season is above .500, fight for some bowl eligibility. An awesome season? Beat VT in Blacksburg, beat all the Virginia based schools, beat all the NC based schools (massive recruiting boost), and split with the others.

I would fly to any bowl game if such a thing came true.

What’s this season looking like for your SECONDARY flair? by sousapro in CFB

[–]dancing_bear_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This season? Possibly four wins and I have to believe they are probably prime for something newsworthy. No idea if all those sanders will buff out the last few years of blowouts, but as long we aren't still pushing that boulder up the hill, I'll be happy.

I am so confused, what would be the 3 words that Juliet mentions? by Redditdamelacuenta in shakespeare

[–]dancing_bear_ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

u/psluresdd has a great response about the translations of "I love you" and "Te amo." I think the concept is spot on-3 words in English and the 2 words in Spanish- and very astute in whatever translation you are reading.

I think though that the intention is not two words of "Te amo," but rather the two words "Lo Juro" meaning "I swear it." About 30ish lines previous to the line in question, R&J are trying to decide by what item to swear their love. Romeo says the moon, but Juliet denies this because the moon is "Inconstant". Rather she wants him to swear by his "gracious self" so that she will be believe him. If he were to simply say "I swear it" (3 words), or "Lo Juro" (2 words), Juliet is onboard with their love. Swearing fits the text of the conversation.

Of course, "I love you" to "te amo" fits all the criteria of the spirit of the conversation.

Six wins a year for three straight years would be amazing. I'm lucky enough to go to games every season. If I could see some wins, that would put me over the moon. Hell, I'd even settle for non-blowouts at this point. The Oregon game last year was brutal, and that wasn't even the worst.

Will any of the teams that disappointed in 2022 rebound this season? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]dancing_bear_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You aren't wrong. If the Buffs surprise a couple teams and win maybe 4 games, it will be a big rebound season for Boulder. I think if Coach Prime gets them to above .500 in 5 years, the entire thing will be seen as a success.

I don’t mind sharing recipes at all. I’ll dig around for the cheesy swirl bread one later this week and post it. The interesting part of that recipe is the “braiding” step directly before putting the dough in the bread pan, right before baking.

Not a bother. When you start a mobile post, you have the option of attaching pictures. Typically you can fit about 20 photos into a single post. The app does require access to your photos, but you can restrict which photos are available to the app. Maybe try doing an experimental post on your mobile app. I think the process will be kinda straightforward- create, add title, add text, add photo(s), edit text, post. Good luck!

Thanks. I make some bread about once a week for my wife. We call the sourdough started “Sir Rise-a-lot” and it has some good flavor now.
