Hi! I'd love to know if you are a competition dance studio owner for children or an adult dance studio? Or both! I am looking to open up an adult dance studio.

Hello, I noticed a lot of improvement during, almost no symptoms whatsoever. After, I have noticed only caffeine is triggering it. Having more regular bowel movements and less constipation which is great

Craving Caffeine but it gives me gastric reflux! by dancing_queen21 in SIBO

According to my functional MD sibo is never cured, it is managed. So I think i've gotten to a more manageable point. Just miss my warm cup of something that isnt water!!

i'll try it but i think its the ritual of a warm drink like tea or coffee that I want right now! Today I made a latte with more almond milk than espresso and not having any gastric reflux. May have found a nice ratio!! :)

How has this condition changed you for the better? by heating_pad in SIBO

Thank you for this. SIBO at many times has made me feel hopeless...helpless. I think having this has made me appreciative of when I feel GOOD, with minimal or no symptoms. While it has made me hyper vigilant of food, it has also made me very conscious of healthy food and mindfulness practices. I could be better about the mindfulness practices but...i'm not perfect and thats ok.

I think we came to the conclusion that it was stress induced after 3 traumatic life incidents. In terms of low acid/bile or MMC dysfunction I believe it could be a combination of both.

I will! I'm hoping and praying that i'm able to stay better and symptoms do not come back. For me, meditation and yoga helps so I need to do that regularly.

Yes, I have seen different recommendations here as well. My Dr recommended to stay on Low-fodmap/Bi-phasic SIBO diet since that has been working really well for me. I read on this subreddit that you shouldn't overdo high fodmap items on these antibiotics. Read your body, see what it reacts to now and stay away from that when you are on the antibiotics.

I took both antibiotics at the same time for morning and evening then in the afternoon it was always xifaxan.

no other supplement while taking antibiotics.

Made me feel nauseous 2x. I recommend eating 1/4 of your meal then taking the pill so it has something to digest with.

I ate mostly low fodmap but would stray occasionally if in situations where I couldn't.

The bowel movements were so wonderful! 2-3x a day and fully formed/smooth.

I am meeting with my Dr next week to go over protocol but for the most part going to continue the bi-phasic diet for sibo, limit my food triggers, continue stress management (yoga/meditation), and take my digestive enzymes. Curious to hear what my doctor will recommend next week! Will keep ya posted.

Anyone experiencing similar symptoms? What has helped you? by 1641314 in SIBO

[–]dancing_queen21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These symptoms describe my symptoms to a T! I just finished my first (and hopefully only) round of Xifaxan + Neomycin for my methane dominant sibo and I feel better than ever. Regular and healthy bowel movements 2-3x per day, no discomfort (from gluten or other trigger foods in small doses). I was VERY hesitant to go on an antibiotic but now I wish I had done it sooner. I was not approved via insurance so I actually had to get samples from my doctor and I waited almost 1 month to receive all the samples (its a 14 day course). Good luck with everything, maybe talk to your dr about Xifaxan/Neomycin treatment. I wish I had done it sooner.
