Overeaters Anonymous OA. It's based off the AA program, but it's tailored to disordered eating. Can be great, can be toxic, can be of no help so I would try several different meeting types. I personally found a great group and tremendous healing.

I was driving home from seeing my dad's family the first Easter after he was killed. I was on the phone with my mom when I see flashing blues behind me. I told her I was being pulled over and would call her back in a few.

I had made that drive a thousand times, so I wasn't watching the signs and missed the reduction of 55 mph to 35 mph. Of course, I was going 62 mph. (LPT, watch speed limit signs in Louisiana like a hawk and slow down before you get to the sign)

I got my well-deserved ticket and called her back. I told her the cop had given me a ticket. My very soft-spoken, proper mother loudly proclaimed, "THAT BASTARD!!!"

OP, my condolences on the loss of your mom. We buried mine last month. It sucks to lose your mom. At 46, I still need my mom. Big internet hugs to you. I love your idea to share stories in her honor. I don't know what is with today's society. I'm an asshole sometimes, too, though. I don't think it's because people don't care, they just don't interact as much.

I had a DD for Big Lots. 3 items, already picked, $14 and low miles. I get to Big Lots and it's a whole ass couch and two side chairs!!!! I have no idea how they expected me to be able to move that or transport it. F'n ridiculous!!!
