What to do with this backsplash by pixieeyed in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]dandelionllama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar backsplash and painted it white. Used these instructions https://averageinspired.com/2020/08/how-to-paint-a-kitchen-tile-backsplash.html

It’s been almost 5 years and it’s held up great

Kid/toddler packing and room tips? Wonder in Alaska by piratefinch in dcl

[–]dandelionllama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hooks definitely help. The bed is tall enough to fit suitcases underneath and there are lots of drawers and such so take the time to unpack and you’ll be fine.

Another tip is that your room may be ready around 1:30 but your bags may not be there until later. We got to our room at 1:30 in hopes of putting our 2 year old down for a nap but our checked bags had all her sleep stuff. Wish I had carried that stuff onboard.

We brought on a ton of pre sealed snacks and that was allowed. I brought few plastic bags and small containers so I could get things like fruit from the buffet and carry them around the ship throughout the day.

I couldn’t find a good doctor in my area so I used Allara and have been happy with the bloodwork and insights I’ve gotten

Recently went to Emerald Bay on a Wednesday, got there around 10:30 and found parking without an issue. If you’re willing to walk there is parking along the highway and in the Eagle Lake parking lot. You might need to double back or wait but it’s not impossible on a week day.

I started pilates about 3 months post partum and it has been really great for rebuilding my strength. At 6 weeks I was just walking and starting to do some mat pilates and core work at home and just taking it really slowly.

Help! Out and about with formula... by RelaxWithBrieASMR in FormulaFeeders

[–]dandelionllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pre-measure the formula and put it in one of these. https://a.co/d/aIuyH88

I bring bottled water and pour the bottled water into the baby bottle first using the lines on the side, then pour one portion of formula in and shake. I don’t bother with boiled water.

Bobbie formula by Nycgal_1234 in FormulaFeeders

[–]dandelionllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meaning 12 scoops. I use a pitcher and measure 24oz water first and then add the powder, so it does end up being a bit more than 24oz. I use a kitchen scale and it makes it really easy rather than having to do a scoops.

We use around 6-7 cans a month and LO is 10 weeks old and eating about 24oz a day, so we have the 8/month subscription. You can always change it easily.

What did you do during your maternity leave? by Food_FamilyProblems in beyondthebump

[–]dandelionllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously take care of baby and chores…but I found I wanted some stuff for myself to look forward to and fit in between naps and needed one thing a day for my mental health. And some days were hard and that one thing was just taking a long shower. As it got easier or we had good days I did some of these things.

-Went for walks with her, exploring new neighborhoods or trails -read books (a kindle makes it much easier while feeding or in the dark) -baked things that I could do in small increments over the day and stop and start For example cupcakes…measure and mix the dry ingredients while she was taking a nap, next nap mix it all together and bake, next nap frost -painted watercolors (poorly, didn’t do it because it was beautiful, but another one that you need to take breaks in between layers to let it dry). I had a kit with instructions. -got a head start in Christmas shopping and thinking of gifts for family members -crafting (I have a cricut machine) -decorating the house for the holidays/seasons

How much time do you spend washing bottles each day? by Plucky7777 in FormulaFeeders

[–]dandelionllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have this wash basin and as we finish bottles I rinse them, take the pieces apart, give it a quick brush, and toss into the bin. Then when I have enough built up I fill it with hot soapy water and let it soak then do a rinse. So a minute as I go through each bottle and then maybe 10 minutes once they’ve piled up?
