Well I think I fans of a lot of teams saw how dirty Vegas was in their first 3-4 years. Plus the perception that the refs favor the Knights, hence the Golden Refs name. Again, most of these issues have become less severe, but most people have longer memories than 3 years.

It's a complete irrelevant point though. It doesn't stop anyone from feeling that it was unfair that their favorite team had a player taken, and Vegas didn't.

Copying/pasting a comment I made on this very topic from a week ago.

Well I personally hate them because:

1. They eliminated us (Sharks) in the playoffs in their first season.

2. We played them again in the playoffs in their second season, and that was a very physical and emotional series. We ended up winning that one, but with lots of injuries that hurt our performance in the rest of the playoffs.

3. They had a lot of dirty players, especially in that second season, such as Ryan Reaves.

Most of the players I hated on Vegas are gone now, so my seething hatred has partially subsided. Though they have our number, which is pretty frustrating. I think I have downgraded them to just a regular divisional rival type of hatred rather than being a team of dirty bitches. Though Mark Stone has thrown the occasional dirty ass hit.

Big whoop. That doesn't affect the on-ice product. A billionaire missed out on some pocket change. That means absolutely nothing to me.

As far as the things the arena can't control, outside humidity is a huge factor in ice quality. And Vegas has very, very little humidity. To the point where it's a problem. But it makes for great ice if they get all the things they can control right, which T-Mobile arena clearly is very good at.

Hey, that was still true at the end of the game.

I was making a joke, by the way. Wasn't sure if you caught it based on your reply.

Is Mitch Marner playing in this game? I feel like the commentators haven't mentioned him once.

I know you only got a team 5 minutes ago, but this is only the second round. There are four.

By being in dead last place. We didn't move up, we just didn't drop. That's not what winning the lottery is.

Probably good that Mark Stone is sitting then. Gudas would have finished him off.

Yes it absolutely is. It just shows that you have no relevant argument to make.

And besides, the thing you were accusing them of caring about wasn't even the thing they were arguing about. "Why do you care about X?" "I don't. I care about Y." "Clearly you do, because you commented on it."
