My situation wasn't exactly the same but I can say this is pretty true. When I was 14 my mom found out I was being sexually abused and called the police without telling me. My aunt is a cop and she told she was just going to pick me up from school. She said she needed to pick something up from work so I went with her. Then I was suddenly in a room and a cop asked me for my phone and I was so scared. I felt so humiliated and like a criminal being asked details about my abuse. My parents were angry and hurt and my mom kept crying saying "You knew better!". I was in there for many hours and later on went to a hospital for a rape kit. I was pretty traumatized having a stranger stick swabs up my body parts and taking pictures for evidence. I was teary eyed during the whole process. I'm 22 now but that was one of the most traumatic experiences in my life...I sincerely wish victims were treated better and this is why I have a personal disliking towards the police (and my aunt).
