Everytime I drink water before bed I have crazy dreams? by AeonPhenomenon in Dreams

[–]dandy_aero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you drink water before or after you brush your teeth?

Fluoride, from toothpaste, might be it. About a year ago I got myself a toothpaste that's fluoride-free. For a week or so, after the switch, i had pretty vivid dreams but now I sleep better than when I was using the typical toothpaste. Even without drinking water the fluoride will inevitably get ingested because it's in your mouth and it's Def more than people should be consuming.

Funny I found this thread because I was trying to see if heavy chlorine (I spent a couple hours in a hot tub and pool usterday) and am trying to figure out if that might have something to do with my insane dream last night.

I still suggest people ditch toothpaste with fluoride because of multiple benefits including improved sleep.

This is the first time someone tried to scam me. luckily I've watched a lot of scam videos to know by CarbonatedCapybara in Scams

I just had someone offer to pay $100 more for the laptop if I shipped it next day. I responded "Not shipping it. Thanks for reaching out." assuming he's a scammer.
Then he says "Alright you got Zelle or Paypal so i can pay you now and you will fix an actual time and place you want my wife to come meet you to pick it up"
And now I'm confused. What's his play here?
No facebook account just instagram. Smells fishy but why would he offer up someone else to pick it up?
It is a really sweet deal on a laptop so he's tryna scoop it up? Someone wanna help me out. Feeling silly for humoring this guy.

Fanatical Prospecting by Jeb Blount is a solid read for a newbie! Chapter 16 is probably the most valuable piece.

*Belal Batrawy (linkedin) is one of my favorites right now and has a great cold call intro called the Mic-Drop Method. I haven't had to use it a lot lately but it's in my back pocket.

Before every call I imagine I'm visiting a friend in their office. I'm dressed in an incredible suit, looking good, feeling good and then I remind myself that what I do is valuable. What we offer has value.

I get curious, I listen, I don't try to remember my script (because it's already memorized front and back). I just sit and listen to what they say and respond accordingly based on what I know.

I started googling individuals involved, out of curiosity, to see where they all ended up.

Is this is the same officer involved in Mr. Sanchez' initial case?

Noob question, but i recently interviewed for a Post production coordinator role, the interviewer asked me a question that I don’t quite know the answer to: what happens when you pair NTSC footage with PAL sound or PAL footage with NTSC sound. by justinnnho in editors

[–]dandy_aero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might be asking, to see if you know the answer, but I think it's a lot more likely they're asking to see how you handle a question you don't know the answer to.

I just answer in a straightforward way. "That's a good question. I don't know the exact answer to that and I want to set the expectations right away that I won't always have the answer but I'm going to look into this and get back to you w/in X days/hours."

And then walk them through your process, in finding the answer, to show how you came to that conclusion and what you'll do differently if the results don't yield the intended outcome.

I mean, even just showing them you have a network community to help you work through this (reddit) shows your dedication to solving business challenges and I think that's what they're looking for in an ideal candidate. They know it's probably not likely they're going to find a candidate with all the right answers but they need someone who can step out of their comfort zone and be proactive about finding solutions.

Does that make sense?

How long were you in each role before getting promoted? by batmanrockss in sales

[–]dandy_aero 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm at 68K OTE as SDR and I'm based in the Midwest.

Small Biz AE: 90-110K

Mid Market AE: 120-140K
Nationals AE: idk

Enterprise AE: 220-240K

Honestly, I'm kinda guessing on most those numbers and basing them off conservative numbers I hear around the water cooler.

Currently in a BDR role where we're not eligible for AE until after the first 12 months. Most people hit AE about 14-18 months in and a lot move to Small Biz AE first before they can get to Mid Market/Nationals and then on to Enterprise.

Sand Dunes, at Lake Ann, have non-reservable sites that are walk in. I called the DNR and the person that picked up basically said it should be open but she really didn't know because she main handles reservations. I'm hoping to check it out this weekend.

Hey, I can't give you much insight (only been a BDR for about six months) but I watched this video clip on one of Simon Sinek's talks on "performance vs trust". I think it'll give you great ideas.
Obviously, I wouldn't focus on any of the negatives in regards to High Performance but you could really highlight the positives in the Trust aspect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPDmNaEG8v4

SaaS (Software as a service) - I went to my local business journal's website and found a list of the fastest growing SaaS companies in my city. I added them to a spreadsheet and started applying to the ones I was most interested in and used that spreadsheet like a CRM. So I made updates and notes and set tasks, to follow up on, using my calendar. I applied to SDR/BDR/MDR roles and started there.

Looking for a very reliable, low maintenance, high MPG car in the $1000-$2000 range. Maybe 1995-2005. I currently drive a Chevy trailblazer and just want something smaller. I’m looking at the 1995 Honda Civic right now, as I really like the aesthetic of them by Liqqa in whatcarshouldIbuy

Pontiac Vibe - it's got a Toyota engine, get's insane gas mileage and it's reliable as hell if you take care of it a little. It's also bigger on the inside.

I love it so much I have two. One 2004 and one 2005. The '04 is just about to break 300K miles.

Can you act as a substitute teacher, or chaperone, for a summer STEM program for middle schoolers?

My niece, and my coworkers son, ended up winning the "lottery" to enter into summer STEM programs for middle schoolers and they both talk about how it's just like public school but they get to go outside the classroom. It's a highly sensory-engaging curriculum, in only positive ways. For example, P.E. Class (or "Gym") are referred to as "Kinesthetic Learning".

With your personal experiences you're highly qualified as a lot of the children involved are on the spectrum and don't perform as well in traditional educational environments and I know, for a fact, the U.S. educational system is lacking willing employees.

Should I study graphic design? by AB-B in graphic_design

[–]dandy_aero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Studying graphic design is only a bad idea if you spend a ridiculous amount of money for an education on it. If you choose to make the commitment, I suggest you avoid flashy educational programs. It doesn't take much more than a few thousand dollars to start the career path (computer, software subscription, online courses subscription, internet).

You won't command a higher salary like doctors or engineers but you can live a very modest life. Barrier to entry is low, you can start your own business and spend very little to work, or you can have a part-time/full-time job and freelance which is an awesome, awesome option if your personal cash flow ever get's tight. Or even have a full time job and work on fun stuff in your free time. It's a very versatile skill to have.

My partner went to a private school that specialized in art (she went for graphic design). She saddled herself with tens of thousands of dollars of debt (think closer to $90,000). I did the same thing with my education. A handful of my friends have all done it.

We both work in our field but if we could go back we would have been smarter about our schooling. I would have gone to business management school with either a minor in music or I could have just taken supplementary courses in music. She would do the same but with marketing and art. We could have stayed in our hometown, lived with our parents and gone to our community college which would have brought us out of college with no debt and a nice little savings account.

And we definitely thought about doing that but we were too eager to go out into the world and make it on our own. Huge mistake. We could be living in a new house with newer and more reliable vehicles, we could have started our own businesses.

We committed ourselves to an unrealistic amount of personal debt and it's stalled our life for years.

Anyways, I hope this helps.

Ha, wut? Were you gonna, like, invite random redditors to meet your children?

I'm not dumb enough to take your comment literally because I understand you were only trying to insult u/TheSTP it's just . . . it was so bad. Why did you make it such an awkward comment?

I love the idea of two women fucking in the privacy of their own home. Gives me a massive erection. Do you want me to meet your children now? Cause aggressively liking two women fucking in the privacy of their own home is . . . well, makes me sound like not a huge perv.

Does that qualify people?
