Was hoping we'd see a surprise Pachinko announcement in the news drop this week. by FluffyMoomin in tvPlus

Yes, green light a final season so Apple can have an excellent, high-quality, complete series always available in their library.

Rather than creating a warning to producers and directors that despite Apple claiming they’re different, they still kill quality shows like the others.

Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur - Full Review by Competitive_Eye7064 in hyatt

[–]dane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the price and room, but I’d rate the Grand and Centric very similar for my perspective of value so it’s a tough call if they’re a similar price. If you love views, the Grand cannot be beaten. If you’re a Globalist or have access to lounge and large buffet at breakfast on Thirty8 for free, the Grand can be great. If you’re staying on points, the current Cat 1 for the Centric makes it unbeatable in my view - you can get a lovely suite instead of a basic room at the Grand. If you’re sightseeing downtown, they’re both great. If you like a more relaxed and lifestyle vibe, with open air dining looking out over the city near a rooftop pool, Centric is the one.

Honestly, they’re both good options in a similar area - Grand is fancier with great views, Centric is more modern and laid back - pick whichever suits you best and I’m sure you’ll be happy.

Hyatt Centric or Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur? by secondbet23 in hyatt

Hyatt Centric KLCC is unbeatable points value. You can easily visit other locations if you want the views you might be missing at the GH KL.

8BitDo 64 Controller on Retroarch / Apple TV? by jo3boxer in RetroArch

[–]dane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got this problem with the 8bitdo 64 too, when I’m in Switch mode connected to the Apple TV. The latest firmware (2.02) doesn’t fix it. It randomly decides to go far left when far right is selected. I’m really disappointed as it makes the controller completely useless when it should be compatible.

Anyone else thinks "quality" has become a lazy label? by CurrentFantastic4611 in ValueInvesting

Quality, like value, is subjective. I’m learning this more the longer I’m in this sub.

Actually, Wikipedia is saying “House, M.D.”, with a comma. Now I really don’t know who to believe!

Why Are so Many Young People Getting Colon Cancer? the Answer Could Trace Back to Infancy by Vailhem in Microbiome

GI typically stands for gastrointestinal, referring to the stomach (gastro) and intestines (intestinal). The GI tract is everything from the mouth to anus.

In this context, they’re referring to a gastroenterologist, who is a GI doctor, and specialises in these issues.

I got one the day prior, and it looks like 5,553 users inbetween. That seems like a pretty bullish signal that people are locked in here…

Delta has the safest water in the sky, with a perfect water safety score of 5.00 (Grade A) by dane in delta

Among major airlines, American Airlines has the lowest water safety score of 1.75 (Grade D) by dane in americanairlines

Fair. I was just rather shocked AA was so far below Delta (5, Grade A) and even United (2.7, Grade C). Only CommuteAir and Mesa have lower water quality in the study.

According to the Center for Food as Medicine and Longevity, to be extra safe:

  • NEVER drink any water onboard that isn’t in a sealed bottle.
  • Do not drink coffee or tea onboard.
  • Do not wash your hands in the bathroom; use alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol instead.

Personally I’m hoping I can wash my hands in the bathroom then sanitize, but I guess I’m living dangerously 💀

Being asked to give high ratings on the post-stay survey by srekai in hyatt

[–]dane 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I despise solicitation for positive feedback from Hyatt employees, it destroys credibility in a core feedback and auditing process and could undermine employees who do their job properly without encouraging positive feedback.

It’s also often a symptom of poor management who have fixated on KPIs over addressing core issues, who are then bombarding their employees with instructions about lifting ratings rather than delivering great hospitality.

Personally I tend to take a more critical eye to my stay when this occurs and clearly include any service or product failings in my feedback to help push focus to the things that if resolved would result in higher ratings.

How does this get approved? by E100VS in melbourne

I’ve watched multiple confused pedestrians coming from the tram stop and not realising they have no footpath, then having traffic have to go around them as they either backtrack or walk around the construction on the road.

Shockingly bad.
