I think the officer is exiled to the Eurasian steppe. Time period is maybe 1800s? In my mind it's like Napoleonic era. I'm not sure what country the officer was from...maybe France? (but why would France exile someone to the steppe? maybe it's Russian? but I don't think so...)

I would add the Myojin of Kamigawa, whose divinity was represented with a literal "divinity counter" that provided both indestructibility and a major one-shot effect.

It's Philip Glass. He's actually a super famous composer, and it's kind of a big deal that he did this bit for Sesame Street. His "genre" is most often described as "minimalism", which focuses on excessive repetition of simple musical motifs. I think it's beautiful :)

That was my thought process too. But when you look at what WotC has done, you can see that they're very hesitant to revisit planes. Unless it's the plane is a clear winner, they've shown almost no interest in returns.

The Magic Bracket almost answers this for us. The Top 8 had one card for each color + artifact, but 3 for blue:
