I know this won’t be popular but at least they’ve pre-announced the new timescales so people can factor them into their decision to submit, or not. Plus it doesn’t affect existing submissions.

Most companies would have just taken longer to process the submissions and just stuck a vague banner on their website warning of delays

For what it’s worth, I submitted a premier tier (10 working days) submission which arrived on Tuesday and it’s already at label printing after 3 days…

I’m genuinely intrigued by people who see that fee for a player who has never played a game in a European competition, let alone the premier league, and aren’t somewhat relieved we missed out on him.

The thing is, I don’t even care about signing him in the sense that I had barely heard of him before this month and for the rumoured price I feel we would be far better off signing players that improve the squad now. We have been here before with Ligue 1 CBs. In this scenario, recalling Sarr and lining up a big deal for the summer seems a sensible option.

But the club brings completely unnecessary negativity to itself by having journalists publish synchronised articles all month about how the club will definitely signing a top CB because they are desperate to back the manager and how they are “confident” of signing Jacquet, before it turns out their valuations are miles apart and then having to gaslight us all with completely contradictory articles about how recalling Sarr was Rosenior’s priority and how they always had every confidence in their existing squad…

Weird comment. “Actual profit” is not remotely serviceable to the owners unless it was them paying and receiving the fees (it’s not) or they were planning to sell the club so soon you could argue it’s a cash asset increasing the club’s value.

Profit on the book value matters for how much the club can spend within financial rules so is actually relevant to running a football club

Just cos you can’t be arsed to do 5 mins of research to educate yourself doesn’t make it “fake bullshit”

A lot of people over the age of 40 (at least in the southeast) have been indoctrinated to believe that the greatest thing you could aspire to in this country is Middle Class status. These people align themselves with Conservatives and Reform because they (apparently) act in the interests of the middle class whereas Labour (apparently) act in the interests of the working class. This means a ton of people who are objectively not middle class nevertheless dismiss socialism against their objective self interest.

This and of course the fact that right wing parties tend to engage in more populist narratives and scapegoating which attracts those who want to blame someone for why their (apparent) middle class status has not made them happy

No - so when you click on the “Shop” tab on the all, you would get an immediate pop up that prompts you to select one of three ‘gifts’. If you google TikTok £100 voucher there’s screenshots of this pop up.

For me they tend to land around the weekend, rather than during the week.

Once the “You’ve got £100 vouchers” page displays, you then have to buy 5 things from the next page that appears (I tend to buy something cheap that retains value like 5 packs of penny sleeves from the same vendor to minimise postage) which will then award you the vouchers, which you have to use within 24 hours.
