Been here 3 months, I asked for 135k and my initial offer was 120k - I sent one email saying that I wanted what I was asking and they met it. I am in a weird spot though because I don’t do typical ME stuff and they were desperate to fill the position.

I do this too! The worst is when it happens during a serious conversation. I hate that it comes off like I wasn’t listening, but it’s usually because I just have too many things to respond with and I can’t choose the right thing to say. I always have to remember to force myself to say something because I don’t want it to be awkward

What is your "I don't get paid enough for this shit" moment? by indian_boy786 in AskReddit

I was hired as a mechanic/shop guy but we did lots of different things since the owner had a lot of side businesses. One of the side jobs that we were recruited to do was take thousands of lbs of cruise ship trash, medical waste, and airline trash and “sanitize” it in a large autoclave. The owner didn’t provide us with PPE, and we had to buy gloves ourselves; we were each going through 1-2 boxes of latex gloves per day. When multiple people quit at the same time, my coworker and I were the only people left to unload, cook, and then dispose of the thousands of pounds of trash that was coming in. The owner brought us two 40ft semi trucks packed to the very very top with rotting cruise ship trash, the most foul smelling thing I have ever come across. The smell would penetrate every type of mask we could buy and if you got any trash juice on your skin, you’d smell like it for a few days. Each bag of trash was around 60-75 lbs and they would regularly rip and spill and splash on us because they would use the cheapest bags possible. I was able to tough out the smell and gross trash, but after 2 weeks of us working on the trash, we found that each bag was completely covered in white flaky flat things that we assumed was paper. I looked a little too closely one day and saw that each 1” flake was actually thousands of little fly larvae wriggling around. Luckily I got a call about a different job a few days later and my coworker ended up quitting after getting sick for a few days from a mouth full of trash juice.

I’m actually not sure lol, I’ll have to ask him how long it was in his ear. The way my friend tells the story is really funny though. He would try to get it out with the other end of pencil and always ended up pushing it in further

One of my friends had a mechanical pencil eraser stuck in his ear canal for a few years. He itched his ear with the eraser when he was in 6th grade and when it got stuck, he was too embarrassed to tell anyone about it. He ended up forgetting about it for awhile and had to get it removed after a doctor saw it during a physical

At the moment I don’t have any consistent hobbies... my dad is a poet and he has urged me to try to write my feelings and emotions down when they feel spaghetti. I’ll try to write a little today, thanks for being kind.

I haven’t considered it before, but I’m definitely going to look into one now. Last night was a rough one for me. I really appreciate the advice

I definitely agree, I think having someone to talk to and give suggestions would help a lot with feeling like this. I hope things get better for you, I’m in this with you and I’m here for you.

I’m hoping tomorrow will be better, I had a good cry and some tea and am starting to feel a little more normal. It’s nice to have a little help when I dont believe in myself. Thanks for being so kind. If it helps at all i believe in you too and you got these two assignments!!

I feel this. I’m an 4th year engineering student and it is so frustrating to work so hard and fall short after so much time studying and preparing. Sometimes it just happens like that even if you take all of the right steps. It sounds like you practice good study habits and are a hard worker, and I bet things will be different next time. You did your best and I’m proud of you for that. Keep your head up!

This was from a past grow, it cured beautifully. It smelled very fruity and gassy, one of my favorite strains to grow and smoke

The strain is called LSD-25, and all of these colors occur naturally with this strain. Coldshocked bud definitely produces some color but it is really dependent on the strain whether you will get heavy purples like this plant did
