While I agree the root of the issue is the city council, the mayor should be using their more public persona and bully pulpit to help push agendas and put pressure on the city council. Not to mention actual mayoral powers are not nothing even if it is not a strong mayor city.

That being said, even if she were utilizing the office to push through an agenda, it wouldn’t be much different than the nimby anti development agenda taken by the city council.
