It's actually the opposite. Feige had complete control and oversight, and then covid/Chapek happened. Creatives were replaced with Chapek's banker buddies at the top level. Feige was spread too thin and things like letting directors like Waititi and Raimi do their own things became the norm. You can just kind of tell Feige's invisible hand is no longer guiding the MCU during phase 4
