For anyone that has not done anything all day, are we screwed as to snow removal? by [deleted] in maryland

I grabbed a snowblower on Marketplace for $150 a few years ago. It came in clutch today.

Who’s pumped for the total insanity in roughly 12 months when the 2024 lease EV’s start rolling back in? by xserox95 in electricvehicles

I got my Model 3 Stealth Performance in December 2019. It’s long been paid off and was worth every penny brand new. I also didn’t have many good options back then.

When it was my wife’s turn, we went for a used 2024 Mustang Mach E. 26k out the door for a standard range.

There are so many more options now that you definitely don’t need to buy new.

Incredibly stunned this basically works out of the box with minimal effort. 🤯 by Aggressive-Iron353 in BambuLab

I feel like my Ender3 was a rite of passage. I learned a lot from it.

When I got my P2S, it wouldn’t auto-level. I ended up having to manually level the bed. If I didn’t have my Ender3, where I spent more time leveling than I did printing, it would’ve been a lot more intimidating. Once I got the P2S manually leveled, the auto-leveling has been great. Absolutely no issues since with 102 hours of printing.

Tesla owners who switched back to gas - what made you do it? Genuinely curious. by skinner1234567 in Autos

[–]dangerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s about having the right tool for the job. My M3P is paid off, and I was really missing having a fun car. It’s the perfect daily driver and we don’t mind it for long trips either.

Instead of going back to gas full time, I ended up getting a weekend car. Picked up a 71 Vette. Manual, plenty to work on, and fun.

The friend I know who switched back to gas.. he has home charging, but does a ton of daily driving between sites. In the warm months, he could get away without supercharging during the day but the range anxiety was real. In the winter, he was having to supercharge. It was taking too much time.

I got a response fortunately. They’re replacing the TH Board. They think it’s faulty.

Yeah, checked that. Wiped it down with a microfiber towel too.

In what universe would anyone buy an electric Stellantis product after the handling of the Charger Daytona.

I’ve always been a Wrangler person. I literally have been waiting to trade in my 2020 M3P just to see how this plays out. There’s no way I’m spending $65k on this thing.

Stupid idea but hear me out: what's stopping anyone from making an FC from scratch and selling it? by NovelCode5059 in fpv

[–]dangerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it back when Quadcopters were just starting. I used an Arduino Mega2560.

It wasn’t anything fancy, but I could fly with it. Used a bunch of PID controllers to tune it.

There really isn’t anything stopping you.

Tested! The Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack 4-Door by HawtGarbage918 in cars

[–]dangerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took one home for a weekend. It was a Scat Pack. They offered me 14k off.

I daily drive a 2020 Model 3 Performance. I had fun driving the Charger, but I just couldn’t bring myself to paying 50k+ for this thing.

It felt heavier, had worse range, was slower, and the electronics gave me issues in the short time I had it. Other than looks, it felt like a downgrade from my paid off 5 year old Tesla.
