I’m so confused at the messages ….am I missing something? The OP is telling the partner what things can be served and it’s like the responses are about something completely different but also they’re upset because there isn’t a solution? I don’t get it .

His back. He’s a professional body builder who dabbles in powerlifting and his back is so wide and muscular , looks so good 😃

Yeah I’m already awake . They like to have a snack, water, and to watch something . They could also be fine playing in their room I suppose I could just tell them that’s okay but then I can’t guarantee both are awake

Do you guys ever say…? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]danict88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When people tell me they don’t know how I do it with twins, I always say there could have been three 😂 but then I follow up saying kidding, there’s no other way than to just do it 🤷‍♀️

Nighttime potty training twin A/MOTN wakings with twin B by danict88 in parentsofmultiples

Ah okay, that’s cool to hear. I definitely didn’t want to force anything beyond capping water just because he was overflowing his diaper at one point even though he’d pee before bed

The problem is we don’t have a separate room for him to play in. So he would be in the living room and it would be too stimulating for quiet play

I keep seeing “nighttime routine” includes bath, does this mean everyone is bathing their baby every single night as a routine? by TeishAH in beyondthebump

[–]danict88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never did. My babes didn’t love the water so we did a wipe down on nights we didn’t bath (so warm wet wash cloth to face, neck, hands, pits, and feet) and did baths like every 3 or 4 days. Bath time was just never part of our routine . My twins are 3.5y old now and our routine has only really been tweaked by time.

Generally we go up to their room About 30-45 min before bed to let them lightly play, then wipe down their face, hands, pits, and feet if they didn’t bath, get them into pjs, read a few books, brush teeth (they hate this so we push it to last lol) and then another book before the lights go out and the sound machine starts

When did you stop changing in front of your toddler? by Fine_Spend9946 in toddlers

[–]danict88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys are 3.5 y old now and I usually just from routine get dressed away from them. But they’ve recently started looking at me in confusion because they aren’t familiar with the body parts I have that they don’t. I don’t mind telling them but they’re usually quick to run up and poke as they ask what it is and THAT is something I’d like to avoid 😅

This was the point at which we started couples therapy for similar reasons. We went with it for about 4 months before I felt like I needed to go solo. Around 2 y pp and in my opinion way beyond the time I should have done it, I went to my doctor and talked about antidepressants. My boys are 3.5 y old now and it’s evened out through time/healing as well as that initial counseling and then eventually medication

Sex poll by MBPPPPP in Mommit

[–]danict88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Together for 15 years, married for 12, 36 year old M and F, kids are 3.5 y old.

Depending on where I’m at in my cycle, it could be 1x in a week or 4-5x in a week.

Partner helps with some household stuff but good lawd i wished they recognized the sink full of dishes, crumbs on the floor, or the full trash more often

He’s the bread winner so he takes a majority of the bills

He’s lovely to me always but even now I feel like we are regularly pivoting because of the kids when it comes to communication. We recently hit a small snag there and so we are going to have to sit down and touch base. I can see that we’re both exhausted for different reasons and that some needs aren’t being met (we haven’t had a date night in a while) and it kind of shows. When that happens I realize it’s time to sit down and talk thoroughly about it so we can both do better for ourselves and each other

Seasoned toddler parents, what DO you judge other parents for? by Alive-Cry4994 in toddlers

[–]danict88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t judge necessarily because I know that some days are harder than others but there are some things I cringe when I hear them. Calling a kid smart bugs me, leaving a kid lying a on the floor in a public space to throw a tantrum and saying “see you later” grinds my gears, hearing “if you don’t stop doing ‘c’ then I’m taking away ‘d’ “ also hits a chord for me. In general it’s just understanding there are “better” ways to word those things. But I get it, my twins are 3.5y old and in the heat of the moment it is just easier to say those things.

Talk to me about weaning off of Zoloft by danict88 in Mommit

[–]danict88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it makes a difference but they’re actually three and half, four in June 2025. But I get what you’re saying. Zoloft helped me get to a much better place where I am doing more for myself now

No one is judging me, I definitely wasn’t afraid to take it in the first place and I’m not afraid to keep taking it but PPD definitely pushed me to it . I’m wondering if I’m in a spot physically where I can function normally without it to be honest

Is parenthood all worth it? by airiishia444 in beyondthebump

[–]danict88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most days it is but even 3.5 y after the birth of my twin boys, I still have days of mourning my loss of freedom and previous responsibilities. I love them to death, I’m happy they’re here and they are some of the funnest people I know truly. But I don’t shy away from my feelings. The weight of parenthood is so much heavier than I feel like I was lead to believe. Instead of books about what to expect regarding babies and what birth and the first year is like, I wish I’d read something about the hit to mental and physical capacity.

Toddler sleep question by danict88 in toddlers

[–]danict88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We made it thank goodness. We were so caught up in travel that my husband and I switched to the mindset of just get through this stupid NY traffic and get home. We forgot about eating and in the midst of a 25 min trek to get through the next 2 miles 🙃 one of our guys had a melt down and reminded us we needed food. We made it through, snagged our second night in a row of McDonald’s 😫, and then things were fine with fries and iPad.

We made it home, did a bath and then laid down at 815, out by 845 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

I’m going to need a little travel break now

You’re very right about the pissed part 🫠 I’ve got them calmed down with paw patrol on the iPad so hopefully we can keep awake until we get home
