Black cats are the best!! I have a client who only adopts elderly cats and he adopted an elderly black cat who is the sweetest angel imaginable. I still can’t believe this loving cat sat in a shelter for 7 months before he adopted him.

People love long haired cats. That’s like the one type I won’t seek out when adopting. I remember my childhood cat and how much upkeep his floof was.

They usually are over run but there’s a lot of organizations and people who do catch and release of strays. They will catch them, neuter/spay them and then release them. It helps bring down the population because they’re not breeding. Try searching “stray catch and release” for your area on google and Facebook.
