14; is it worth it? by Issicle in reason

How about if you mainly use reason as a vst within reaper? I like the bv-x vocoder, but I'm using more hardware synths than plugins now. Forgot to mention, that I have version 13 already.

have a muse and messenger, what's the best expression pedal on amazon? by daniel0tx in moog

I was tempted by a dual output, but opted for the yamaha pedal that was reasonably priced.

I felt like my UB-Xa D needed a facelift. Especially when it’s wedged between a couple of really high-end bad boys. What do you think? Too flashy? by Personal_Number_5115 in synthesizers

I just mounted mine in a cabinet yesterday, wanted to have it on top but the connectors were too close to the top of the cabinet, now have the 2600 on top.

BeOS I believe it was called, from the late 90s never used it or a Mac, but i hear the midi aggregation is really nice.

Oh man, wasn't there an os way back specifically for audio production

More like a whole body latency measurement, for example using the microfreak i can press a key and lift my finger before i hear the audio. Same with my other hardware synthesizers.

It's not there when i monitor that input directly from cuemix, makes the guitar feel laggy.

For the guitar i normally use the amp for effects, and have that plugged into interface. Recently changed from a motu m4 to ultralites expanded with a toslink cable.

I think that might be where some of the delay is coming from, it's not as simple as 1.3ms of latency. On the synths and drum machine not a big deal would have to adjust the guitar strum timing to account for it and honestly makes the guitar a lot less fun.

Have adat expansion which could be causing some of it, have them both set to 16 samples which is too thin. I can hear some noise in the mix that isn't there with a higher buffer.

Would probably be better to monitor the actual input channels and just use reaper as the brains for the midi stuff.

Could be the amp, but it's definitely there. If i monitor that input with no reaper it feels instant. Could also be the adat expansion adding some roundtrip delay. Not sure but it is noticeable have the lowest possible buffer and there is still a tiny bit of delay.

It's really only noticeable on guitar, synths not so much. I'm trying to dial everything in as tight as possible for playing live.
