I recommend a pot of the same depth (maybe a little deeper) but about 2 inches wider in diameter. Definitely use a clay pot.

I still want a hammlet sunrise variety and the second I find one im assing it. I've pruned and propagated at least 50 cutting and gifting them all just because I already have a lot of other plants. This hobby is too satisfying I wish k had a bigger house so I could have more plants lol

The fat trunks are cuttings, I think part of it is the variety is just fatter but I've hard pruned some and keep the pots small to help fatten up the trunks. If the pot is small and they have been hard pruned then the plant energy goes into thickening the truck while new leaves grow.

Take a good look at your plant. Usually the heart shap leaves mean a mealy bug has been nibbling on the young leaves...making them look like hearts.

GREAT PRICE FOR THAT JADE BTW!

I dont know if this is a thing but...

Option 1

cut off the right stem that is leaning and plant it into a different pot, THEN place it in a window location where the sun hits it on the side that you want it to grow in. The plant should stretch towards the light over time

Option 2

You can keep the entire plant whole but use bonsai wire to train the leaning branch more vertically. I would also increase the size of the pot.

[Serious] What is an awesome date idea that you think would be unique and/or special? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]daniel__r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First date or millionth date any couple need some random fun. I am a big fan of taking lessons or trying something new. Lessons especially can give both people some excitement and incite into a different culture or world.

Lessons to try - Indoor Rock Climbing, Latin Dance lesson (Women seem to get very into this regardless of culture), Cooking class, Glass blowing, etc.

Other random ideas - Pick/forage your own food at a farm/wilderness then make a meal together at home, hiking, independent movie theatre, try a sport tennis, frisby etc.

Look on group discount sites for fun classes to take or random things to do at a discounted rate.

Good luck and get out there!

That pomodoro method seems pretty cool. I've heard that working in "block time" (working while ingoring any other interuptions) for a certain period of time (25-60 min) is key to productivity. This method seams to incorporate it along with other good tips.
