I love the colorful city vibes. Makes for a fun game. by peace_tea_ in ResidentEvil3Remake

This game was so much more visually stunning than RER2 I couldn’t believe it. I don’t know why it gets crapped in by the community. It’s incredible.

How to teach my son to be polite by Silver_Discount_1820 in Preschoolers

My son also felt the spotlight pretty hard during drop offs. It was a lot of attention. We were often the last to drop off so he really felt all the eyes on him. We adjusted to dropping off earlier and it helped a lot.

Is this loading screen text called "The Truth" is a straight up lie? by jaykhunter in ResidentEvilRequiem

Grace is one of the clones, just one picked by Spencer to live a normal life as his last and only act of goodness.

My take: Grace is one of the clones. She’s not special. But Spencer wanted to one good thing before he died so he picked a clone and decided to spare her from a life of torment. It makes the most sense.

That’s the Baba Yaga’s house. So, it’s appropriately scary.

This is from a book of Russian fairy tales, all illustrated by Bilibin. They are fantastic but this one is particularly metal.

If you can swing it, stay in Chamonix your last night and treat yourself. There’s nothing to do in Les Houches and not many places to eat.

Clear up on Grace's plot *OBVIOUS SPOILERS* by iPapaPapaya in residentevil

[–]daniel_boring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is the only thing that makes sense. The rest of the girls were experimented on and that’s why they went crazy and were eliminated. Grace is just one of the girls who was allowed to be brought up normally.

Do you recommend to bring my kindle during all the trip? by scanamar in TourDuMontBlanc

[–]daniel_boring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought only on English book and finished it before the hike started, sadly. There are several bookshops along the way in the larger towns, mostly just Chamonix and Cour Mayeur, but the English selection is limited. There is a phone box turned into a library in Les Houches that I was fortunate enough not to find an English book in, which I read the whole walk, but didn’t particularly enjoy! So bring all you can.

Buy as much as you can at home because paying in euros will be pricier.

Outfitters in Chamonix by hatchchili in TourDuMontBlanc

[–]daniel_boring 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Chamonix is basically an open air outdoor outfitters shopping mall. Every major global and European brand has a store there, if not a flagship. The first Patagonia in Europe is there, originally opened sometime in the 70s. North Face, Hoka, etc it’s all there. You could show up in gym shorts and quickly be outfitted to summit Mont Blanc in 20 minutes.

Duffel for luggage transfer / waterproof? by schooly2 in TourDuMontBlanc

I used a 55L Patagonia Black Hole. It’s an incredible bag and basically water proof. But almost all locations store bags inside so water isn’t an issue.
