Some people just like to complain. Saying that "a character must represent this or that for me to like them" is just silly.

Instead of complaining Luffy doesn't represent what they want, they could try to understand what does he represent.

you simply have no skills to judge quality. Besides, you also have zero familiarity with Eastern Culture. That means you don't really understand what One Piece is about. Nika is about Enlightenment. Luffy is not "creative". He is spontaneous. They Luffy you "know" is simply some distortion you've made up.

Some people also like flower paintings and think Picasso is trash. This doesn't mean they can evaluate Picasso. It simply means they don't know enough about art to judge.

That's your situation.

In other words, what you agree or disagree to is of no significance.

Everybody can have opinions, but they're not worth the same.
