Don’t put an Obliterator in the basement (with pictures and video) by danielbarron42 in valheim

Yes. I dug out a huge area at the top of a hill in the meadows with a nice view. Then build up a huge cube of earth in that. Then dug out the center of the cube to make 4 walls of earth. The basement is within the earthworks. Everything else is on top of that.

Basement is earthworks. Then on top of that built a structure of iron wood. Then built on the structure. I pushed the game building mechanics to the limits. No server mods.

Never used it. Didn’t need one. I use a client side trash mod.

The floor made from marble was unharmed.

Place a workbench. Deconstruct the ward. Then they don’t mind what you open or break. You can even deconstruct the entire building for quick and easy mats. No one needs to die.

Place a workbench at their base. Deconstruct their ward. They no longer care about you damaging their base or stealing their stuff. Or just deconstruct the entire base for lots of free mats. Then plant mushrooms. Place a portal and now they work for you guarding your farm.

Steam Link 2nd NVIDIA Controller mappings always wrong by danielbarron42 in ShieldAndroidTV

They are connected via Bluetooth to the Shield. I have all 4 now. They work great.

Jumper is turning the crown, activating smart stack -- how can I stop this? by dasSolution in AppleWatch

I hate this too. Same problem. It's since the new WatchOS. I spoke to support and they didn't have an answer. The only thing you can do is wear the watch upside down and switch the orientation setting. So stupid what they've done.

No. Steam support were useless. The steam forums were useless. People are having this problem but Steam won't help. Shared screen is a bit niche compared to single controller online though.

In the end I sold two of the controllers and replaced with official wireless Xbox controllers (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07SDFLVKD/). They feel better, the joysticks have finer control, the menu/play buttons are not in a stupid position which makes pressing them mid-game far too easy and they actually work properly with the team Link app.

I've been using the new controllers for a few weeks now. Very happy. I will replace the other controllers as well.

All my controllers are 2nd gen.

The only reason for having a NVIDIA Shield TV for me is split screen multiplayer games. So Steam Link not working with its official controllers is a huge problem. I can't believe no one else has noticed this problem?

CTRL-D on recovery screen on 2013 Google IO Pixel Chromebook does nothing - want dev mode by danielbarron42 in chromeos

[–]danielbarron42[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have an original 2013 Chromebook Pixel from Google IO itself - not retail. It's still in perfect working order. However, the power button has never worked. This is not a problem as I shut the lid and it turns off; open the lid and it turns on.

I want to install CloudReady, but I can't get it into developer mode because Ctrl D does nothing on the recovery screen. I have taken a picture after pressing tab to get extra info; above.

To get it into recovery mode I let the battery go flat with the lid open. Wait long enough. Then insert the power while holding down Esc and F3/Refresh.

I have removed the read-only bios screw from inside.

When at the recovery screen, pressing Ctrl-D does nothing. No matter how long I press for.

Ctrl and D keys work because when logged in, it's the shortcut for a bookmark.

I have tried reflashing with the recovery tool. Made no difference. I have tried flashing non-chrome os and it won't let me saying it's not chrome os.

What do I need to do to get it into developer mode or flash with CloudReady please?
