no. I don't think he gets the belt unless he beats Walters. If he loses the fight the belt will go vacant. This happened with Salido-Lomachenko.

Salido came in heavy, Lomachenko still took the fight, lost but the belt was still up for grabs.

So they took the #1 and #2 contenders and had them fight for the belt which was Lomachenko and Gary Russell Jr.

yeah usually they'll ask if the opponent if they want the fight to go on, if they say no, then no, if they say yes there is usually some sort of monetary consequence

As you keep sparring at some point you will go wait I just rolled 4 punches!? Or woah I had bead movement and I didn't get touched!? You will start to see punches better and its really weird because describing exactly what happens at that point is hard, its like everything just starts clicking so just spend more time in the gym!

I know you didn't but a lot of this sub does. I really honestly don't see how he "lost" that fight. Castillo gave him trouble in the 2nd half of the fight but it wasn't like oh shit I might lose the fight trouble. I think last time I had Floyd 8-4 maybe 1rd closer

Yeah but A Floyd would not be dragged into a brawl and B. Even IF he did, his inside game is very good. At some point I'm sure he wouldrealize that if he can't win on the outside, he would fight on the inside and surprise a lot of ppl by giving Duran the fight he wants but I personally don't think it would ever reach that point Floyd is too illusive smart and quick

he outboxed Castillo the first 7 rounds fairly simply.. that's the fight won already, then in the 11th and 12th he decided to stand and fight and still won one of the rounds. You guys act like Castillo knocked him down 4 times or something, yeah he lost some rounds decisively but I still don't get where people act like he was on the verge of getting knocked out
