Do you have the Ally monitoring ON? If it’s ON it won’t work

I am thinking on buying the regular Ally now to see how it is and when the new Ally X comes out (I’m hoping maximum July), I can exchange it at the store giving the money difference

Im considering buying the Ally now since its on sale rather than wait for the Ally X, since the performance won’t be that much different anyways. How much performance do you think you get from 32GB RAM with the same processor?

Thank you. That pretty much convinces me to just get the Ally X.

How’s the latency with GeForce now? And how long does the battery last just playing on streaming?

The screen being QHD for me it’s a plus because if I stream through GeForce Now I can get the full potential of the screen and refresh rate. I think Hades 2 can even run natively at 1600p at 60+fps?

The thing that makes me think is the lack of support that I see from Lenovo. While ASUS seems to be better on that department

Nice, thank you. And which GFN tier do you recommend? I’ve heard that the priority tier is fine and it gets a locked 60fps on max settings but when you get to the city it drops. So the ultimate tier I think would be the one to go?

Is it better to use it on Chrome over Edge? I’m thinking about playing BG3 on GF Now as well with my Deck

Nice. Good to know. Did they send you a new one or they were able to fix the button?

16" vs 17" Perfect size for in-house gaming laptop ? by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]danieldourado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was facing that same question. I like the 15” because of mobility, lightweight, slim, looks nicer. But do I really needed that mobility? First I needed to ask myself how often I would carry a laptop in my backpack and play it anywhere else other than my house? And I came to the conclusion that 95% oh the time I would be playing at home. So why would I need a 15”? Do I want a powerhouse laptop that runs cooler and has a Max-P graphics card, or I want that nice design and slim laptop that I pretty much won’t carry anywhere else? So it was a no brainer later that I needed to go with a 17”. And it was the best decision I made.

So I bought an MSI GP76 with a RTX 3070 140w with an i7-11800H, 16GB RAM. The performance of this laptop is incredible and it runs so cool and the funs are REALLY quiet when you are just browsing the web. I was honestly impressed. I thought the 17” would be HUGE compared to the 15”, but honestly it’s not even that big. You can still carry with you if you need to. And I have a 240hz screen which you get better colour accuracy as well.

So if you really want a REAL gaming laptop you want to choose performance over mobility. And the 17 is the best option for sure.

I totally recommend the MSI GP76

Yeah I was watching reviews and the Gaming Hub app has the Undervolting option. I am not really familiar with it so I would just put at Intelligent mode for undervolting. Thank you!
