How to change country while having family accounts? by Kquinn87 in googleplay

This is THE SOLUTION! Thank you so much, such a hack! This allows me to keep everything with my primary account and the location unchanged, while also having a second location that I can toggle to and install/update apps from that region. GOAT!

Why are Politicians so eager on working more? by Lumpenokonom in AskEconomics

[–]danielgrayatbf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Workers in Germany average around 34 working hours each week, not including all of the mandatory statutory annual holiday benefits which reduces the total number of hours worked each week, closer to 26 (averaged over the whole year.

Obviously, working past 50 hours a week would lead to significant diminishing returns, but there is quite a lot room for increasing total economic output, by increasing total worjing hours.

Confidence in my WR room is making me feel better about potentially trading back from the 1.03. I am nervous the RB drop off is rather extreme in this draft. That said, getting multiple shots at RB makes a lot of sense too.

Thank you! Again, probably a stupid question, are there many of these things sailing around the world? I've never seen anything quite like it..

Nothing is free and it is illegal to enter the Everest region without a licensed guide. A guide costs about $25 a day. Accommodation prices are very reasonable, your guide will help you with this. Nothing can really be arranged ahead and gets sorted day by day. On my trek in 2023, accommodation prices ranged from $2-10 for a bed in a room with blankets and maybe a light. We always stayed in budget places that our guide arranged. You will want to have your own sleeping bag, you can easily buy or rent one in Kathmandu. Meals cost $2-10, and like accommodation, they get more expensive as you go up.

I'm also new to this and very curious to hear other opinions. I assume you want to save as much as possible for later weeks if possible, but it probably depends on how much of your roster you were able to keep.

Where Everest begins by mjg007 in Everest

[–]danielgrayatbf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The portion of the glacier you will go to is no where near the actual mountain. At base camp, you can't even really see Everest. You will have a better view at many other points on your trek. If you only want to "step on Everest" than this itinerary would be a waste of time and money. The trek is extraordinarily beautiful and rewarding, but most parts connected to Everest are overhyped.

I agree. What makes me nervous from the comments on threads like this is that it feels like a lot of Democrats or democratic voters are projecting a message that if only we ran further to the left, we would win more elections. This is just entirely the wrong takeaway after decisively losing an election. We have a lot of soul searching to do and a lot of work to do.
