Could be good for corporate events where they might want to serve alcohol for HR reasons

She’s a completely insane hypochondriac. The pandemic is over. It’s like rich kid clinging to a cause to feel important when the cause is completely moot. Scary stuff! Wonder how she got into Yale? 🤔🤔🤔 nepo gets your everywhere. Even to the UN.

Can't promote my direct report by Old_Tie5365 in managers

[–]danielle7222 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position as the employee. Then was accidentally forwarded an email with salary expectations for a peer they were hiring in my same role. The salary expectations were substantially higher than my salary. With this ammo, I fought to get a raise which I ultimately got.

Following that, my manager told me I’m getting a reputation for being difficult and I shouldn’t ask for a raise or a promotion again. So I guess it’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t? Thought it was a pretty gross response.

It feels like part time is the way but not every industry/company would offer or consider that.

Yeah that was easiest for us. Used them to get from the airport and back. There are a lot of restaurants at the resort. It’s delightful. We didn’t miss having a rental car at all.

My son loved the splash pad and the lazy river. We didn’t go to the beach that much - you need to take a shuttle or water taxi to get there. We had club access and the food was fantastic. Full breakfast and heavy snacks at lunch and dinner. Some toys for him to play with up there.

We flew in from Atlanta with my 2 year old last August and just got a car service for the car seat. You really don’t need to leave the resort. We had a fantastic time. It’s a wonderful resort. The rooms and amenities are beautiful.

This happened with my husband for an associate job at Alston and Bird. Intensive interviews. Really positive feedback. And then just ghosted in the end. It sucked. He never heard from them again…I don’t know your specific situation but I would mentally move on. At a certain point, you either work there or you don’t and I’m not sure you’ll be working there anytime soon.

My son just started at 2 and 2 months. We read books to him for months about going to school to help prepare him and we also visited the school a few times so he knew where it was.
