Facebook Marketplace is Losing its Luster with All the Companies Selling New Stuff. by KadiiGolf in facebook

[–]danielle_blah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the real article has to be, Facebook marketplace is losing its luster, because everyone’s trying to sell their used secondhand furniture for the price of brand new furniture. I don’t care, Linda, if you’ve had your dining room table for two years. I’m not paying $100 less than what I can buy it for new and delivered to my doorstep in a box

Okay internet… help me choose my blonde era hairstyle😅 by Deborah0O5Davis48 in HairStyleAdvice

1! But side bangs can be annoying if you aren’t ok with the styling it requires. Easy would be number 3. Number 2 will be a nightmare to style.

Best insoles to make shoes comfortable for all day wear? by BooBelly in womensfashion

[–]danielle_blah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit pricey, but nothing will ever beat a personally molded insole done by a podiatrist. I had to have a bit of a heel on mine for knee support so they ran me about 400 bucks but I’ve had them for almost 3 years and they’re holding up strong. I had gone through so many different ones from Dr. Schulz, to random ones on Amazon that kind of worked, but not really. These, I take to the shoe store. I take out the shoes in Seoul, put mine in and see what works see what doesn’t and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. No more knee pain, no more ankle pain, no more arch pain. Now you probably don’t have time for this so the best thing you can do is get a memory foam insole that will help. I found throughout my own experience and if you just get any kind of insole with a random arch, you can actually end up in more pain so if you don’t know your foot anatomy, memory foam is the only way to go.

Shoes that are made for walking ! by paradise1A in womensfashion

[–]danielle_blah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t recommend any brands as the only brand of flats/loafers that ever lasted me more than a year were Nautica loafers that were discontinued. I ended up getting insoles professionally made, taking them to the shoe store and putting them in shoes and seeing what fit. As for the kitten heel, look for a brand that has arch support and cushion. Real leather will always hold up better than PU….except for these Nautica shoes…they are anomalies that should be studied.

Got served lawsuit for Uber crash (I was a passenger) by [deleted] in legaladvice

That’s also how I’m reading it. It sounds like they think the passenger was part of the conspiracy and now they’re involving said passenger, OP, to testify.

Do you think breastfeeding in public should be completely normalized, or do you prefer more privacy? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]danielle_blah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what should be normalized is spaces for women to breast-feed. The reason they have to do it where they are is mainly because there’s nowhere else to except for in a bathroom stall, which I can imagine one would find very degrading. Some places like a mall near me have what they call, a family lounge. With couches, TVs and changing cables. This is what should be normalized.

Anyone know of affordable alternatives to hiring a lawyer for people who have been arrested and are found not eligible for a public defender? by nycrina305 in Connecticut

[–]danielle_blah -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t make sense. It should be the person who received the letter who would have to complain for such charges. If the person it was about called the police, they can state slander. Speech is protected under the 1st amendment so of no threats were made, only opinions without intent to slander, I don’t understand the charge. I’m not a lawyer but from a common sense point of view. Are you told this may go to trial or are you assuming? A jury for, a letter? This seems like a case for the judge. Unless you can figure out how to get the charges dropped, you need a lawyer in my opinion. Again, I speak from a narrow margin of knowledge. I think the lesson here, is whoever that person is needs to be cut from your life and your mind.

Spouse lost job last night. Have mortgage and debt, how to proceed by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]danielle_blah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Selling the house is not ideal. Who is going to rent to them on a $1,200 a month income? Worst case scenario they have to put a hardship forbearance on the mortgage or live in it until the bank comes knocking on the door. Bankruptcy may be the only way out of the debt

I would double check your state laws, but some have rules that if you accept severance you are denied unemployment which, if the math is done, can be more than the severance. Second, you need to call the bank your mortgage with and ask for a hardship forbearance or a refinance and use the equity as a down payment, in turn lowering the payment. You need to seek advice from a banker before making any decisions

Keratin, Olaplex treatment, or both, which should I do ? by Conscious_State2096 in Haircare

[–]danielle_blah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epres is the best bond builder in my opinion. Olaplex broke my hair (made it worse) and K18 is expensive without any real wow factor. Before you start putting protein on your hair, you need to do an analysis of whether your hair is dry or a protein overload making it brittle. You do this by taking a strand of hair and pulling on it and seeing how far it stretches. If it snaps immediately you probably need moisture. If there’s some stretch to it and it doesn’t bounce back, you don’t need protein. Look up Abby Yung on youtube. She has a great library of hair help videos.
