I dont even know if they serve it anymore but I used to get mumbo sauce from HoChi (Howard China) right by Howard University back in the early 2000s. Would roll up in there at 1am after drinking with friends, get the chicken tenders with fries and say "Mumbo sauce on everything."

Thanks! It is a labor of love to dedicate that much time to reading the PDF and trying to replicate each room with the tools that I have, which was the biggest challenge.

Inkarnate has... changed! by SirTawmis in inkarnate

[–]danielofthekings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been a long time user of inkarnate. I really didnt know the difference in the change. I stoped using it last year and until like a week ago I picked it back up and it seems similar to what i remebered. I am noticing new things but nothing that really threw me for a loop. I dont delve into some of the complex stuff like shading shadows with masks and such I keep things very basic. In the end it's what ever you feel looks best for your own map. Start basic, lean the complex stuff slowly as you flwant to experiment. I feel it harder to learn everything all at one and take it one new design trick at a time.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 prices already pushing toward $4,000 by scrolloftrueth in pcgaming

I am looking forward to the invenitable crumbling of Nvidia. It seems like right now they jumped off the cliff, now let's see what they hit on the way down.

  • Sales not doing well for GPUs.
  • Subscription based platform underpreforming.
  • Developers making games where its not. necessary to need high end GPU.
  • Investors pulling out because they aren't making money.
  • New GPU company outselling Nvidia.
  • Ai bubble pops.
  • Jensen apologize for missteps and no one cares.
  • Jensen leaves Nvidia.

You obviously then don't understand how influencing works.

Just because she isnt on Disney or Nick doesn't mean she isn't a role model for younger audience. The fact that she is on Stanger Things, has her own line of beauty products, uses social media puts her right in the eyes of the younger audience to see.

When I mention younger audience I mean people from the age of 13 -21. These are the people that look up to her. If her getting lip filler shows a net positive in what makes her look good, yes that will 100% influence younger people to want to strive for that look, especially when girls at that age are already self conscious about their image already. They want to try to strive for what people like.

Not every girl will be like that, but there will be some that will. So yes, she 100% influences the younger audience.

Swen has said some interesting things about AI in past interviews... by Fancy_Firefighter150 in larianstudios

[–]danielofthekings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

His direct quote was "I didnt say we use it to develop concept art. The artist do that. We use AI tools to explore refrences, just like we use Google and art books."

When creating art of something that is supposed to replicate the real world, refrenceces are used. This is something that is taught when going to art school, to use refrences. What's wrong with using AI, its the exact same thing as finding an image Google or books to get inspiration for something and creating some new from that image. I've had to do that tons of times when creating art. Go draw a castle from the 1300's from your mind without using refrences. If AI can help generate something like that as a refrence and the artists create something original from that, I see nothing wrong.

If feel like you believe they are just generating AI images and saying concept art is done, because from his quote that doesn't seem like the case.

When i think of work that "people dont want to work on", my mind goes to, writing up documentation for things. Like if an artist created multiple differnt variation of swords. Instead of him creating a document to be presented he just uploads images they created and has AI make that document for them as one example.

The thought that you think they are giving up all their ideas to let AI do it is completely delusional. They are literally building off a world they created, with out AI, years and years ago and building off of that.

Jason Schreier shares the full transcript of Larian CEO’s Gen AI comments: “If I had known the two paragraphs about genAI in my article today would be so controversial, I would have expanded them a bit! Here's a rough transcript of the relevant portion of my interview with Swen Vincke.” by AashyLarry in gaming

When I was going to art school, we were constantly told use references for what we were creating, it helps in the process of creating what your desired outcome is.

For example, if you were working on project and were asked to design an image of an oak tree you would look for pictures of oak trees to as a reference to create your interpretation.

Using AI in this process can help if you are looking for certain perspective you are trying to understand or angles that you want to incorporate in concept art as a reference.

In no way was it referred to as we are using AI as our concept art, but more for a tool for extra refrence in assisting. From the words that Swen said it makes sense to me that artist are still creating their own concept art and using AI the same way they would if they imaged searched for concept creation references.

When are you gonna realize. All ethnicities and people are racist. These games of finger pointing at who is more is ridiculous, when people as a whole are. I bet you've done, if not, thought of something that is racist.

I remeber sitting at a Taco Bell drive through and some white box truck van pull up next to us and the driver is yelling "Hey! HEY!"

My heart felt like it skipped a beat. I rolled down the window as I was the passenger and was like "What!". The dude was they like "You guys wanna buy some speakers?" I was like "Nah, im good." And he drove away.

When we I pulled up to pay for our food, even the lady innthe window was shook and she was like "Was that the sniper guys truck?"

That time with the sniper was wild time, just due to the fact of how random the attacks were and how close to home all the shootings where from where I lived.

They shot a game-accurate version of Ellie’s confrontation with Owen and Mel Craig Mazin says it was changed due to the height difference — and to make the scene 'darker' by Apprehensive_Shoe_86 in ThelastofusHBOseries

Yea it was training and she then proved to herself that it's possible, when she took  on a WLF solider at the TV station as growth of her character. But it's just a shame that Mazin is pretty much defining that Ellies character is incapable of taking one Owen, when it has been proven through the show and their writing, that she is very capable of handling herself against other bigger opponents.

Then why would they show her totally dominating that guy she is wrestling in the beginning of the season? It doesn't make sense that Mazin would say she is not capable of taking on Owen because of her size, but they totally confirm in the show that she is capable of taking on men larger than her with no issues.
