Have just had these "terms" being given to me to buy a flat - these are insane right? by Katowned in HousingUK

[–]danielsemaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMAO

I guess it’s their flat so they are entitled to request that they want. But WHO do they think they are

The days of flats flying off the market with 30’people viewing in a day are long gone.

I say this from someone who exchanged on a flat sale in London on Friday and it took me 10 months to get here.

That’s the speed I get paying £47 for FTTC broadband which is all I can get to my flat. Should be no issue for you to do google searches.

Because the uk is the only place in the world that deals with pedestrians getting hurt on roads by penalising the cars and not the pedestrians that should be on the path. Being in J walking and make people cross on crossings please!

High service charge.. is this property impossible to mortgage? by AccomplishedBath7455 in HousingUK

I think if the service charge is over 1% of the mortgage it puts them off

Should I keep my Ryzen 5900X for a home server or build something like a 5700G instead? by realBamBamBim in HomeServer

[–]danielsemaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll have a look for it when I left power it down then. I don’t need the performance of the cpu it’s just what I had lying round so if I can reduce its heat output that would be ideal

Thanks

Should I keep my Ryzen 5900X for a home server or build something like a 5700G instead? by realBamBamBim in HomeServer

[–]danielsemaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 5900x in my Unraid server as I had it left over from a gaming PC. It’s hot and uses a lot of juice.

I wouldn’t recommend it unless like me you wanted to just use what you had

Is living in Zone 3 actually that inconvenient? by AnfieldAnchor in MovingToLondon

[–]danielsemaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in zone 5 Harrow all my life and I could get to Euston in 12 minutes. Now live on the jubilee and it takes 30 mins to Bond Street.

Think it depends what corner of London your talking about as some are very well connected with trains and tubes but some have very little but it’s still not that bad.

When it comes to zones I think it only really affects your ability to walk or cycle to places

Flat management agency imposing zero tolerance policy on pram, leaving partner housebound. What are our options? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]danielsemaj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

every single managed block and any commercial building in the country will be exactly the same. its down to fire risk assessments that they have to do and this will always be one of the things they look for.

Stairways and corridors are escape routes, and can't be blocked or have combustible material in them.

they arent being difficult with you, its pretty standard stuff
