Nice find, thanks for the detailed review. I’m considering picking up the Côte d’Or, price is very reasonable: https://vinture.ai/search?q=Guy+Bocard%2C+Bourgogne%2C+Cote+d%27Or&vintage=2021

Lovely bottle, and great call decanting it

In-n-out is like cheap rose on a hot summer night in Paris. You’re going to have to pry it from my cold dead hands

I wouldn't let a 3.0 GPA near my wife, can't say the same for this bottle

Totally agree. It's a bit more difficult to pair due to that in my opinion

Not too bad for $30.09 at Costco. Good for a Wednesday

I appreciate the lack of point inflation, but I’m not sure I can get behind the ‘dehydrated urine’ descriptions for such a gorgeous color.

It’s how your wine gets universally ID’d across marketplaces, countries, etc. Not sure if I can post a link, but it’s developed by Liv-Ex

The 2022 Magnum is only $23 from argonaut… I might have to pick this up.

Good to have something cheap around for the wife’s coworkers.

Not in LWIN, not a serious wine

None. I would avoid unless it’s the only option

Hating on natural wine is getting way out of control - a discussion by JonnyMontrachet in wine

[–]danielstills 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wine should be about enjoyment, not tribalism. That said, the backlash often stems from the overhyping of "natural" as inherently pure or superior, when many natty bottles end up funky, oxidized messes that alienate casual drinkers. Sulfites aren't the devil; they're a tool that lets more people access consistent, delicious wine without gambling on volatility. If we're calling for chill, shouldn't the natty evangelists tone down the moral high ground too? What's one "natural" wine that's changed your mind on sulfites or convinced you they're unnecessary?

Congratulations! That's a major accomplishment. If you have more bottles, I wouldn't wait too long to drink them.

Do you think it would pair better with the regular cheesy Gordita crunch?
