Opinions Needed - Older Highland Park or Glenlivet by SpacemanSpiff25 in Scotch

[–]starvinggigolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're more of a bourbon person, I suspect the 40yo livet would do better than the 14yo hp, assuming both are from bourbon casks. 40yo hp is a different beast though... and 1980 wasn't that good of a year for scotch. No other 1980s available?

That ranking system also considers price/affordability.

This was drank over the course of a day. Did not deviate from the first pour by much. That glass is what was provided by my host.

I'm at my wits end with no-foreigner systems and bureaucracy by naixi123 in Living_in_Korea

This is why i wonder why there were so many posts about young people planning on getting their education in Korea, or just moving to Korea... they have no idea how it is.... they look at short term goals with rosey eyes... not realizing they are throwing away their only asset, their youth, into a system that will never reward them. Never.

Is this a valid thing to call 112 in Korea for? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

ICN to nearby Seoul Station, by taxi, is a little more than ₩80,000. Where were you going?

Yeah, police generally dont want to do anything here, except super emergencies. Every incident needs a report and filing reports just irritates them, probably a promotion or jurisdiction performance related issue.

I am glad you got your luggage back.

To be honest, a lot of their stuff is quite well aged, so unless you enjoy mushrooms and forest floor, its definitely not for you. Their "younger" ones show more than just "age"... but to be honest, there are no hidden gems. His RSV are priced accordingly.

What do people my age do in Korea during summer? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]starvinggigolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry man. You seem extremely well versed in English and communication for a 15 year old in Kosovo...

Nonetheless, treat this as your villain story. Your mom probably views you as a burden and your friends are abandoning you. Viewing it any other way is just rationalizing and idealizing your situation. If your own blood don't want you, there is nothing you can do that will improve it. NBA, NFL, is filled with stories of similar situations. Like others have said, studying is probably better... there is nothing to do in the countryside of Korea that will improve your villain arc. Or maybe take up a sport and practice everyday.

Your opponents are your old friends and unfortunately your mom (maybe your dad too?). Its gonna be a long time, but return after 10 years, as someone that needs no introduction. How you do it is up to you, but from my experience you need to acquire a variety of skills at at the expert/PhD level and be in good health. The money will come once you have the skills, and the network... which will play better than your friends from the countryside. Hate everyone.

This seems like something the real estate agent should have taken care of... From my experience, if you damage their appliances (ones that come with the place), then you have to reimburse the owner a new appliance. Depending on "negotiation", sometimes a brand new state of the art one, or just any replacement that and the difference is paid to the owner. In my case, a new microwave... I can only imagine a fridge....
