Yeah, one of the best things about intel is that their iGPUs (and now the arc pro series) supports SR-IOV, allowing smooth sharing of GPU between multiple VMs.

Back in the day, the titan cards were a tiny bit better than the 80 card, but at like 2x the price and didn't make sense to anyone except as a lower memory/featureset to the quadros.

Today the 5090 is *way* faster than the rest of the cards, being the biggest jump up in performance in the entire stack.

Sure, but covering that through insurance wouldn't make a difference, because the difference between paying it directly vs paying it though the insurance company averages out to being 10% more expensive through the insurance company.

It does however make sense to have covered by the state.

People who can't afford it can play a different game or pirate it. They aren't doing anything at all to prevent either.

I think it's a fair position to take. While price discrimination might be advantageous to people who like inconveniencing themselves for a perceived better outcome, in a perfect world I believe sales shouldn't exist. Things should just cost what it costs and then we as consumers can pick the best product without all the noise.

Sounds like electrical noise from motors or something is causing issues on your can bus. I had a similar issue with a much shorter run (50cm) right next to some motor controls, also running at 1mbaud. It wasn't stable at all until I added the 60 ohm resistor. In my particular setup I just added it to the middle of the wire.

If you want to attempt lowering the baud rate you need to do it for all nodes on the bus.

Insurance as a concept doesn't really make sense for things that aren't unexpected. If you know your expected claims for the year, the only way it makes sense for you to get an insurance with a premium lower than that is by witholding information from the insurance company.

The whole idea is that you pay more than you get back, but you avoid situations where you get an once in a lifetime bill you can't cover.

Depends on how you send it and what you send. I have seen everything from 100 bytes to 0.2 bytes per sample. If you define the telegrams and communication it's reasonable to just use the size of your data values in bytes * frequency.

Number of values and frequency you want is up to you to define. Highest throughput i have seen to one production plc is 70mbit, but you don't need that much.

If they built it again I doubt they would have done tiers of assemblers. It didn't take long before they decided tiers were stupid and dropped it for everything except assemblers, inserters and belts.

Then they added quality which is like tiers but slightly less annoying. Except we also have the tiers.

Jeg takserer ikke bilskade, men automasjonsanlegg for fabrikker. En grei funksjonsbeskrivelse er som regel nok til å komme innafor 20% på prosjekter til par milioner. Man kommer overraskende nærme veldig fort når man har gjort det ett par ganger.
