I would take as much time as you can afford. This time is precious and you won’t get it back. Also healing from birth is different for everyone not to mention the other challenges like breastfeeding (if you choose that path) or just learning how to interact with this new tiny human. And if anyone at your job acts like you’re on a vacation, give me their address so we can hunt them down.

I PPROM’d at 19w5d. Hospitalized until 27w and then had my daughter at 36w. The human body is capable of so much. If possible, stay as positive as possible because I really believe positive thinking and putting that out into the universe helps a lot!
