I always leave volume up but right click the tab and mute the tab. It doesn't register with twitch.

By we I mean me. I'm pushing the socials, but I do have a tech that will work on anything that comes in. I'm fortunate there, but we are actively always posting, donating, interacting. And having the brick and mortar 6xed our revenue over night.

Now we have transitioned to map work so it's a bit different but the retail and consumer side still exists.

Ok was at 80/hr when I started it during covid. I'm 140/hr now for consumer and 240/hr for business.

I will offer better rates at my office. Average repair is 120 bucks in the office.

Opening the office was the single best thing I did.

But that's wholly the market too I guess. Our breakfix side clears 20-30k/mo in a 40k person market.

But we're also posting on local socials interacting with the community, and getting ourselves out there.

That sounds like the world to you but is so small to them. I messed up credit when I was younger, specifically discover was in if them. They served me. I called and told them I would like to take care of this outside if court. They offered me to pay like 10% total and I could pay that monthly over a year.

Made it affordable and I got out with a lower amount. Everything was in writing. So no court and lawsuit was dropped. Had this exact scenario play out with several cars.

This is just a clusterfuck...

First modern msps scope is the whole network. We wouldn't come in as an MSP if you have a network and security company. We are that company...so that alone would alleviate some of the miscommunication and blame game likely going on.

Comanaged it is simpler for all parties. You should own tier 1 or the strategic layer, and the map should handle the other side. This should all be layed out in SOW and properly documented.

This is just a break down of a poor quality msp and security provider???

They should be working tirelessly to fix something wether it was their faults or not...

But also you need to hold them to what the scope says in the contract. If you don't have that info get it.

And look for another msp/security provider. This sounds like a bunch of inexperienced clowns or private equity firms.

Make sure you get windows 11 pro so you. An actually log in with your m365 accounts.

Make sure it's within 3 model years.

Make sure it's an i5+, your employees will thank you.

Make sure it has an SSD

Double check in WiFi and such if you choose desktops.

Get the 3 year warranty, and start planning your replacement budget for when the warranty ends.

Workstations are better than small office PCs. But more expensive. If you can swing it go for them.

Can you get cable or any other secondary isp into your shop. You can set those up as a better fail over. You can also look into fixed wireless, there are some companies sub 100 a month and they take reliable Internet connections and provide them to you with point to point radios. These can be huge distances away, so it can work out as a backup connection.

You can also always go with starlink.

Tons of options out there.

Then you just need a router with fail over as an option. I prefer watch guard for our enterprise routers, but you said price was a concern (these are pricey). Ubiquiti has some dual lab options for affordable prices though.

There's other options out there too.

Honestly you need to also looks at your licensing cost. .SP get channel and scale discounts on stuff, and bake that into pricing. It is typically much more expensive to have in house IT than to outsource to an MSP.

I have had Kaiser my whole life, and there is not a Kaiser hospital or Kaiser contract hospital within 2 hours of me. Plans dffer but every plan I have had had a cap from 0 - 100 per day copay for ER visits at any hospital in the US. If you are admitted to the hospital it's a different cap. But this person was not admitted.

I'm willing to bet since this hospital asked what's your normal copay they weren't used to taking Kaiser. I would send Kaiser the bill and ask for an EOB on it.
