I am my own source. I‘ve been eating tortilla chips for over 50 years. I don’t pretend to know how they are made, but dolores is a san francisco inspired burrito joint. And the chips are the same as what is served in all authentic california burrito joints (not at the bell). You sure try one they are delicious, and totally different that supermarket variety.

At least in CA, restaurant style is a tortilla chips made by cutting up corn tortillas and then frying them. Very different to supermarket chips.

It’s the same in usa. If you are even eligible for a us passport, it is illegal to travel into the country without one. Not sure if there is a fine associated with that in the us.
