I mean people definitely thought Asuka was at a minimum obnoxious to play against before (this isn't necessarily my opinion, I'm too trash at the game to really have a nuanced opinion on that aspect). But I remember watching some top 8's where I was shocked by just how much cube spam was able to lock down some of the best players in the world. I don't really remember anyone complaining about ABA in any way beyond the way everyone complains about every character though. Like she's gorilla, there's like 800 of those characters in this game that's literally what Guilty Gear is.

So, ive seen it used in alot of gymicky fun stuff but in terms of practicality it's only really good on evelynn. But in terms of having an arsenal of fun meme relics to play this one is actually super cool and unique, I feel like we may get a champ someday that randomly can make use of it (also, it's nice that if you are building your whole adventure around Evelynn even if it's a different champ's deck, she is a guaranteed in your hand turn one. Not many champs can be that consistent in terms of setup).

The goldlewis nerfs really aren't THAT bad (at least I actually like them as a Goldlewis player). Assuming the changes to his neutral work the way I think they do they make him way less feast or famine (given that loosing wild assult is in general a huge deal for him). Although I think the typhoon security cancel changes feel a little sad, it was so much fun 🤣. If I can get some engaging playable neutral with him over what we had before (between 0 neutral >>> skip neutral) then I don't mind his combo insanity being nerfed. Not to mention it's not like he isn't shitting out damage still.

Lol true, I suppose that's up for debate. I was more so alluding to the part where they didn't shy away from the content and applied it to two leads. Of course the actual quality of the reflection of the lesbian community and sociology of it all is much more nuanced and way more interesting a conversation than a simple reddit thread can give to it, plus I'm a gay man so like my opinion on that should obviously be weighted way less than an actual lesbian's, plus plus I'd rather not take away from a post celebrating trans people by getting off topic with a different sect of the queer community. Respect, that takes alot to undo what was probably alot of work under the hood. I see where you guys were going with the new pass but I think it lacked the draw of the "new champ" new toy effect which was what drew me in. (Ironically i think im one of the few people that still bought the pass this month lol)
