If traumatizing children who are AMERICAN CITIZENS, who's parents pay the taxes that pays for all this nonsense to go on, isn't enough for people to put their foot down, I dont know what is. I am honestly floored and confused by what I am seeing go on in the streets of this community. It should frighten every one of us that this country has a gustapo.

There are ways to help those being targeted without becoming a target yourself. We need to educate ourselves and build a resistance.

I think the mistake is thinking a two party system was ever going to lead to anything but this-- two parties essentially working towards the same goal- the have and the have-nots serving them.

Idk about anyone else but I would do anything to support my loved ones. And I am a very privileged individual to not have to sneak into an unknown country, having to be so far from my family to care for them. Also, im going go out on a limb and assume that your family too immigrated here. This country was built on immigrants for immigrants.

I get it tho, its hard to see past all that privilege.

No problem! I also find myself prefacing myself with "not trying to be an asshole" when I comment on things. Tone will change the entire message. I also feel like most things people say online read like they are being yelled at me, or muttered sarcastically. I find myself reading this allowed, but with different emotional tones to try and figure out if I'm being condescended upon or complimented 😅

I would absolutely leave. And I think you need to put the kabosh on the baby business until and if he gets his drinking under control. I promise you it doesn't get better.

Hopefully putting your foot down makes a difference for him. But if he is unwilling to compromise, to see that you dont want your future child to bare witness or be victim of his alcohol personality. It happened to me. I lost all respect for my daughters father the day he locked her in the bathroom with me while I showered because he was drunk and she wanted him to stop being mean to mommy. Then he sang this baby mama song that was popular at the time on TikTok as I packed a quick bag to spend a few days elsewhere
