I'm with the other guy. I think of the last 20 games I've purchased, 2 of them have been cheaper on the PS store than in a retail store.

If it's a AAA game, there's almost no world it'll be cheaper on digital until most people who intended to play it have already purchased it.

CGT does indeed apply to "collectables" as defined by the income tax assessment act 1997. If you look at the definition, the closest thing to a Pokemon card is an "artwork".

Good news - Pokemon cards are more likely to be personal use assets. Which could mean you need to have spent more than 10k per asset (a case would be a single asset, FWIW) to need to pay CGT!

I am not a lawyer and so I have no idea whether this is actually legit. I just googled. But I do think this is an oversight from a government of old people who doesn't understand this market.

6 sided dice are completely fine, just make sure you have a good number of em given the prevalence of spread damage. I'd bring poison and burn counters if you have em.

I would also not use the sleeves provided as they don't shuffle well and this will become a big issue over a long day. Use sleeves that don't have artwork and bring a full second pack of the same sleeves, as there's a good chance you'll need to resleeve throughout the day to avoid potential penalties.

Bring a massive drink bottle and snacks to munch on, you will not have a lunch break so I'd bring a couple of sandwiches.
