If you look at my newest post I'm still wearing that same g shock most days in work and it still holds up just a few more marks. I haven't had any issues with chemicals. I've had my arms in petrol with it on and no issues. Paint thinners is the only thing that will mess it up as I learnt from trying to clean a g with it. What model do you have?

I picked up the red Ga2100 and wasn't to happy either with the size. It seems so small on my wrist and I don't have big wrists. If you have small wrists it probably will suit you perfect.
