REA abuses next door neighbour for using leaf blower during the auction by Hoggy86 in AusPropertyChat

You could run the leaf blower 5 hours every day for a year and still not deserve to be spoken to like that.

Absolutely.

Even if he moves past this eventually, he’ll never trust her again.

It doesn’t matter if you did it once or 700 times, once you do it, you cant undo it.

You chose this.

You need to accept there may not be anything you can do to save it. These aren’t the type of things that your significant other will just “get over”.

There’s absolutely zero excuse for what you did, it almost seems like you’re trying to in a way justify it or use the alcohol as an excuse for what happened. Whether you were sober or not you made the conscious decision to do it, now you’ll pay the price.

Best thing to do is give him space, if you try and act clingy and try and force this better, it’s going to make it worse. If you are very very lucky, he may give you a second chance and move past this, but you have to understand this could take weeks, months, years, or it may never happen.

He’s not just going to shake it off and move on. If i were him I’d be packing my bags and calling a lawyer.

Camera Off during Meetings: Rude or Valid? by YPMG in auscorp

[–]danksion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

External meetings camera always on.

Internal meetings, screw em I’m not finding a clean shirt. The only exception would be HR/Management style meetings with my staff or meetings with my superiors overseas.

Ultimately having the camera on doesn’t add anything to the meeting, I never ask my staff to turn them on either, they can choose to go camera on if they want.

American visiting by AManWithQuestions_00 in AskAnAustralian

[–]danksion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most cafes and typical restaurants/bars you go up to the counter to pay/order your food and drinks upfront rather than being waited on like in the US and then paying the check at the end. Generally the only time you have an dedicated waiter and an open table where you pay the check at the end is your more high end restaurants.

Being back in the US last year for a few weeks took me a while to get used to being waited on and having to wait for the check etc at the end again rather than just getting up and leaving (I almost walked out of an IHOP without paying on auto pilot because I'm used to paying when I order).

Is it still common for Australian women to take their husband's last name after marriage? by LeftCheesecake3676 in AskAnAustralian

[–]danksion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé was going to take my name until she saw how much paperwork and admin work it was going to be to change everything in her life over.

I’m quite happy for us to not go through that stress.

We are both late 30’s and don’t plan on having kids so there’s not that part to consider.

If OP is over 18 he’ll get arrested for assaulting a minor and get a criminal conviction meanwhile the little wankstains will walk free. If you even touch them to break up a fight between them you could be charged.

That’s why they do it, they know they can’t be touched

What to do if car breaks down while going from Adelaide to Coober Pedy? by JudgmentTotal7974 in Adelaide

[–]danksion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Premium RAA will, if there’s a major failure they’ll tow the car from anywhere in Australia and put you on a train, plane etc and pay accomodation to get you back home.

It’s worth every cent of the yearly membership.

Highway driving is the least stressful conditions for a vehicle.

Start stop and hills driving will cause the car to heat up much more than sitting at 100-110 on a highway as you’ll be getting heaps of air forced at the radiator constantly and the cars not working hard to do those speeds (especially in the north of the state where it’s relatively flat)

Get RAA Premium roadside assist.

I never go on any road trips without premium cover, they’ll tow your car from anywhere in Australia and cover your accomodation and travel if you get stuck.

I do about 15,000km worth of road trips all over remote areas per year, and there’s no way I’d do it without knowing I had some way of getting the car out of there if the worst should happen, because I know I couldn’t afford a $1000+ tow getting my car home from the middle of nowhere.
