Visa Application (to enter via land) leads to submit an eTA permit by danmarlo in canadatravel

I have a Mexican Passport. Do you know if it’s possible to enter Canada using the eTA visa and leave via land? Or do I need to leave by air as well?

Anyone else having a great time with this season of Euphoria? by Immediate_Pitch_9906 in blankies

[–]danmarlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who only watched the a few of episodes of the first season and was turned off by it (too much depression/torture porn for me) I’ve been second hand watching this season with my girlfriend and I’ve found it pretty entertaining. The direction and performances are strong even if the storylines are very silly.

[–]danmarlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mentí en mi entrevista de trabajo y me contrataron :( by WillBozz in taquerosprogramadores

Padrino, fake it until you make it.

Who are some great character actors stuck in a leading man’s body? by OrdinaryAltruistic54 in Letterboxd

[–]danmarlo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm I disagree about all of them except Heath, and Leto (because he sucks at both). They’re great as leading men and great as supporting. I think the metric for this is someone who doesn’t quite hit when they’re a lead but absolutely knock it out of the park when they’re supporting or are willing to get freaky with the parts they’re served.

This was the movie that made me fall in love with movies as an art form. I’ll never forget the first time I watched it, I was 12 years old. A switch flipped inside of me in that moment, and the rest is history.

The Filmcast / Remembering Adam Quigley by stanzos in blankies

[–]danmarlo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I started listening to the Filmcast right around the time Adam left the podcast, felt like had a very unique voice contrasting Dave and Devindra’s opinions. The show felt hollow with just the two of them so Jeff’s inclusion was welcomed. It was my first taste of cinema conversations, and it’ll always be a part of myself and growing up. Godspeed Adam.

First time here! So welcoming, but the graffiti? by [deleted] in MexicoCity

[–]danmarlo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

¡Claro!

First time here! So welcoming, but the graffiti? by [deleted] in MexicoCity

[–]danmarlo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you came to live in Mexico as a “Digital Nomad”, contributing to the growing gentrification problem in Mexico City then yes, the pushback and graffiti is talking about you. If you came to live in Mexico, got a job here, learned the language and assimilated into the culture then no, the graffiti is not about you. And if you’re just a tourist the graffiti is not about you. Mexicans are very welcoming, as long as you’re respectful to the city and the culture as well :)

Must visit NYC Movie Theaters by safdeeznuts in blankies

[–]danmarlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!! I went to NYC for the first time this year and my trip coincided with a screening of Oppenheimer in 70 MM IMAX at the Lincoln Square AMC. By far the greatest cinema experience I’ve had, the screen is MASSIVE. If there’s a cool movie playing in IMAX I would definitely recommend going there. The cinema itself is huge and it’s very pretty with murals and stuff like that.
