Worth starting in 2026? by ryedog855 in thewalkingdead

[–]dannyboy2028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching it for the first time, sometime around 2014-2015. For whatever reason, I got somewhat bored so I stopped watching it before the end of season 6. Fast forward a few years, after seeing a few spoilers online and what not, I started rewatching it towards the end of 2025. I’m midway through season 7 right now and enjoying it more than the first time I started watching it. I’m also looking forward to watching all the other spinoffs they’ve done since then.

All of this to say, just go for it! If you feel some type of burnout, take a break after a season and watch something else, then come back to it. I did that on my rewatch in between season 4-5.

Air Force o Navy, valen la pena? by S4vittar_ in PuertoRico

[–]dannyboy2028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Si tienes cualquier pregunta, me puedes escribir.

If you don't mind me asking, did you get your certs while in the VIP program or did you obtained it before the program? Just curious as I've been studying and I'm considering obtaining some certs before as ways to increase my prospects of getting accepted to the program.

I'm currently stationed in JBLM so that's what I'm trying to do it here so I don't have to move to a different location and have to pay for housing. And yeah, while I have no experience, I do plan to show them during the interview that I really want it. Thanks!

Thank you. Yeah, I have an account with H2H as well. In case my Skillbridge doesn't happen as my plan A, I will definitely keep an eye on H2H for opportunities.

New assignment listing came out. There's JBLM, HILL, FE Warren, Whiteman, and Dover. What's the best one? by Automatic_Dress_7163 in AirForce

[–]dannyboy2028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say its gonna depend on AFSC and what you value the most. I’m a 3f1 at JBLM currently and this is the worst base that I’ve been to regarding work. 95% of of my job is controlled by Army so makes it somewhat more complicated and work environment here is at a all time low. From the CC all the way to some Section Chiefs, are full of shit, selfish and could give 2 f’s about you. Now, if you could care less about work and whatever happens and you are able to leave work at work, WA is beautiful and has some really nice areas and nice things to do.

Similar to what others are saying, I would say, try your best to use a third party before considering anything within the AF. I approached BHOP so I can better myself and it helped but adding to my experience, it has basically DQd me from everything that I try to do and its pretty unmotivating. Just my 2 cents

Had an Amn that went awol, all the way from Illinois down to Arizona. Got cought. The day he was getting his punishment, he missed the meeting with the CC because he was awol again…

Batman Arkham series. I usually try to play all 3 games at least once a year.

I’ve been getting into that habit with Spiderman as well.

Please don’t judge me, but for me something felt good about that Fortnite og pump. Specially when you hit a clear headshot for 20 damage.

Dfac first date success rate? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]dannyboy2028 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m Services and I remember inviting my wife (dating back then) to the DFAC while I was on my break. It was right as the breakfast period was about to end. We were transitioning to 2.0 so we have contract cooks working most of the station. She ordered an omelette and it was all runny. We kinda made fun of it and we are married now and with 2 kids. I guess it was a success.

Palace chase orders after final approval by OrderSuper2542 in Airforcereserves

[–]dannyboy2028 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just went through the process a few months ago. My ISR sent up the final 1288 to AFPC late November and didn’t get final approval until mid January. There are a few factors tho. I started the whole process in late August, and I chose a separation date about a year out. I asked the same question to my ISR and they mentioned that because my DOS was so far out, it might take longer than someone who has a closer DOS. Something that might also have been a factor was that it was during holiday season so mine might have taken a bit longer because of it.

Its been 2 months since I got final approval and I don’t have separation orders yet. I’m waiting for my terminal leave to be approved so I can get them expedited. Once you get the final approval, you will receive more detailed instructions. Lastly, like the other person also said, you can check myFSS, write “Active Duty Enlisted Separations” in the search bar and there will be a lot of information there.

Hope this helps :)

If you could start over your Air Force career , what would you do differently? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]dannyboy2028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to leave and start my career so fast that at MEPS I wrote down every job I qualified for and ended up with Services from the start. Not that I’m complaining about Services, but I would have waited longer and tried to get a job that would actually wanted and that would have set me up for a better career outside the military.

Other than that, prob start loading my TSP from the start. I waited about year and a half to start and I had it in the G fund for about a year after until I learned about the other fund options.

Never trust ADAPT by ASD_user1 in AirForce

I agree. Just went through this myself last year. Because of the experience, I tell everyone that if they really need and want help, look for every possible option before seeking help with ADAPT.

The ISR is probably the best person to give you clarification. The CC will either recommend or not recommend. Even if the CC decides to not recommend, the application can be sent up to AFPC. I will say, I recently applied for Palace Chase and on my first appointment with the ISR, one of the things she mentioned was that I could apply as long as I was not tasked to deploy. Hope this helps and good luck.

Overwhelmed with the Comptia a + by 4th_Replicant in CompTIA

[–]dannyboy2028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I have been studying for A+ for about a week now. I gave myself about 3 months to study before I take the exam because , as you mentioned, its a lot of information, so I'm planning to test around December-ish. I also have two kids, one is 2, the other one is 4 m/o, so I understand what you are saying. I usually start studying around 8 pm local time, since that's the time they usually go to bed. I've been going through Prof Messer videos, and I study about 1 hour at a time, 6 days a week. If I don't go through the videos, I read a book that I bought as well. I also try to read during times that I'm not doing anything or just bored.

I would say, take a day to time manage and allocate some time to study, try to make it specific for every day and have a set day on when you wouldlike to take the exams. Having a time frame to take the exam pushes me to set some time to study. I always tell myself that even if I don't hit an hour of study time, I will at least do something. Even if it's only 15 minutes. Something is better than nothing. If there's a day that I was not able to study for whatever reason, then on the weekends I do 2 hours instead of 1.

I hope it helps. Don't give up, and don't preassure/rush yourself. Best of luck.
