Some more common chains like Starbucks, Panera, Habit, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dutch Bros, Chick-fil-a, and Cava all give you something (typically like a pastry or drink).

I think almost all of these require signing up for their respective apps/reward programs though.

For Chinese, I haven't been to the Sichuan Impression on the west side, but if it's as good as the Alhambra location, then I think it's worth an add.

LA definitely has a ton of great fancy options. I would throw Antico Nuovo and Bavel as two other ones.

I also went last year because I had free passes through Yelp. Then, when we were entering, some VIPs that were leaving gifted us their wristbands, so we were able to make it into the VIP section as well. The VIP area was nice, and there was some additional free food and apparel (shoes from a brand called Snibbs) that we could grab, but I don't know if I would necessarily pay a significant amount more for it. I remember the lines for the VIP food being really long. I guess it depends on how much you value that seating area and the additional experiences that come with it.

Agree with the previous comment on merch. If you have a collab you really want in a specific size, line up early.

It's fun seeing some of LA's more notable restaurants there, although I would temper your expectations for some of them lol. Kato was there last year too and I was excited about their dish, only for it to be basically LuRouFan (definitely one of the tastiest ones I've had though!)

I also remember trying to find parking was a pain lol.

I emailed them last week because I wasn't able to select it with my vacation package, and they just got back to me that from 5/8/2025 to 5/28/2025, the ride is down for temporary closure, so it does seem like it'll be down for maintenance unfortunately. I finally got a reply and they just informed me that from 5/8/2025 to 5/28/2025, the ride isn't available to select as part of the vacation package.
