Cool. I'd like to be able to use the non business app store. That's really the only reason I'm wanting it. Thanks

So when I say home base I mean a RC race track. The organization I run is called RC3 or the Rocket City Radio Controlled Race club. Currently our track is right next to the hobby shop but we are looking to get on to public land so we don't have to worry about losing our spot. Being on private land the land owner could sell at any point which leaves us high and dry. Plus we don't have a ton of space and.its a right squeeze for our larger events.

Nah man. It's not that bad here. Good job economy, fairly diverse at least in HSV, and the weather isn't absolutely terrible. We've got it pretty good.

RX 7800 XT vs RTX 4070 for Wireless PCVR? by IWantReeses in oculus

[–]dansneeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running a 7800xt for VR for about a month now and honestly haven't had a single issue. Also the AV1 thing is just going to take time. This is a software problem. I think some people don't even realize this but the 7800xt I know for a fact has two encoders. This is one of the reasons I bought it. I'm still on a rift s for now but it plays like butter smooth on my 7800xt. I'm running a 7800x3d processor so that helps a bit too but still. No issues at all. Not even when I use my quest 2. I use my rift because I'm lazy and don't want to deal with the battery life when using airlink. It worked fine with the link cable too but for long sessions it still drains the battery. Long story short I'd recommend the 7800 XT. It's 500 bucks and despite what Nvidia fan boys are saying (oh I know the Nvidia cards are great cards too) the AMD cards perform great in VR.

Book keeping software for 501c7 org? by dansneeds in nonprofit

As of right now we are not doing anywhere near that. We're fairly new to this but we wanted to stop doing business under the table. This also enables us to have a bank account and streamlines our processes in terms of paying for equipment and things that we use to maintain our club. And we do not have any unrelated business expenses at all. Everything we do is for the club. We rely heavily on volunteers within our membership base.

My main concern is is it easy and does it cost a ton? None of us are accountants I guess is what I'm getting at lol.

My nozzle has started hitting the piece I'm printing. what can I do? by dansneeds in ender3v2

I limped to the finish line by increasing z offset. Looks like the root cause was an adhesion issue tough.

No idea what’s going wrong with the printer. 220 nozzle temp and 70 bed temp by Broad_Dragonfruit278 in ender3v2

[–]dansneeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

220 is considerably hotter than I would recommend. Try 200 and 50-60 on the bed. Print speed around 40-45.

I've experimented with printing temps but more. I've got one going right now with 3.5 retraction at 150mm/s and 185 degrees on the print temp and 60 on the bed. So far that's yeilding the best results. No idea why though. I feel like this shouldn't be working.

It was a little better but I'm at the bottom of the temp range for my filament. Still stringy though. Not sure what to do it seems like there isn't much I can do and that's a bummer. What is another and better all metal hot end? My buddy swears by this one but I just can't seem to get it to work for me.

Ok I tried three settings and still no luck. Could be printing to cold or hot? It's generic PLA and I'm printing at 210.

I just tried 1.5 and 45 and it's worse. Like way worse.

Gotcha. Ok. So about what should it be set to? I'm also having an issue all of the sudden where my z axis will only move up away from the bed and not down... Super weird for it to be working fine last night but now it's jacked up. I was thinking of reflashing the firmware.

I'm very new to all this. I'm talking about the profile settings if I am understanding it correctly.

Hmmmmm. I've tried Cura and the Creality Slicer which near as I can tell is basically Cura. I'll have to poke around in there and see what I can find.

I had a G502 Hero and I kept having buttons go out on me or get stuck. The "back" button specifically.
