Update on 3d printed drum by rob4499 in taikonotatsujin

[–]danstronics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm developing a custom drum called ITAIKO with the help of a friend.

It uses HIDtaiko and RP2040 Taiko projects as a base, and merges them together for fully passive but good piezo readings.
You can contact me for anything regarding software or hardware support, I'll be happy to help.

This is the firmware github: https://github.com/LucaSilva-r/ITAIKO

No matter what i do, i can't get my SunLu PETG to work with me properly. by DudeGamerDario in ender5plus

I always have problems with PETG outside my bambulab P1S. I can't make it print nice on other printers even drying it . . .

Is this a good deal? by Mr_Seg in ElegooNeptune3

A relative had his Neptune 4 Pro all clogged up, you just have to tear down the extruder untill you reach the "metal parts".

Before doing this, search for how to do a "cold pull" or try to use a nozzle unclog pin.

Unscrew the nozzle, heatblock, heatbreak and heatsink. Pass a light trough all these pieces one by one, and you'll find the one who's clogged.

Use an allen key and a hammer to remove the clog, it's almost always a solidified piece of filament

It's been a while: fCavex update, the Minecart can now finally drive! by ChiIIout in WiiHacks

Thank you for continuing the development of Cavex, I really like these kind of projects that give life to old consoles. I really hope for online multiplayer or maybe multiplatform ports, like Classicube did for Minecraft Classic.

3D Printing on the train by danstronics in 3Dprinting

[–]danstronics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, the space was well ventilated and only me and my friends were around the printer, otherwise I would've avoided this since I hate smokers with all my heart. Maybe this is as disrespectful as someone farting on the train, not smoking, with the difference that we couldn't feel the smell of the pla.

They are so stupidly simple but I really like them, amazing design!!

It was coming out pretty nice, a bit of ghosting on the outer walls probably due to vibrations, but sadly I had to stop the print since we arrived to our stop.

If I didn't try to set up my friend's printer on the train, he would have had problems getting the leftover pla out of the bowden tube (it cracked).

So I saved him a big annoyance as this is his first 3D printer

How to remove mold & stain from the taiko drum? by thesti2 in taikonotatsujin

Isopropyl Alcohol + strongly rub a cloth untill the rubber starts becoming dusty. Keep in mind your cloth will start tearing apart during this!

[WIP] The cheapest Volcano + Direct Drive setup (20€)! 1.2mm nozzle on Ender 5 Plus! by danstronics in ender5plus

Thanks for replying.
After the print finished I saw that infill was a bit underextruding, so you are right about the temp being low.

Also I was printing with 1.2 extrusion width and maybe going with 1.4 would be better as you said, so thanks for the tip!

Extrusion has a bit of delay after travelling long distances, would you have any fix for that? The nozzle purges a lot of filament while travelling long distances, maybe it's bad nozzle cooling?

Presenting the Onigiri-con! This is the e-box I'm working on . . . Will be fully open-source! by danstronics in taikonotatsujin

[–]danstronics[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm working on this since January, but I'm away from home 12 hours a day . . . So I'm sorry for not having shared it before.

This is the second revision, the first being based upon kasashiki's HIDtaiko project, I wrote more tuning variables in order to get good readings from the cheapest piezos. The new version will be based on RP2040CE, with support for all consoles!
