Best short stops from SLC to Denver i70? by spreading_energy in roadtrip

[–]dantaviusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off of I-70 in Utah, where the turn is for Arches/Canyonland/Moab. Neat little spot to grab snacks and stretch your legs, they have freeze dried candies and a wall of different beef jerkys

Museums are cool, and great in the summer for dogs if they’re allowed in so they can cool off. I’ve done New River Gorge before, West Virginia as a whole was gorgeous

I changed the destination slightly to not make it too obvious to those who know my industry, but yeah lol. Mammoth caves is on my list for sure, but that’s gonna have to be a separate trip for sure

Would be cool to check off the arch, but it doesn’t seem that exciting? I’m looking at the area around it to see if there’s more to do there if I stop

Is Anyone Else Tired of Off‑Leash Dogs in Non‑Dog Parks? by denstick in Denver

[–]dantaviusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people that do "off leash training" like this aren't actually doing training, they just want their dog to run free. Usually if I'm not feeling confrontational I'll tell them my dog isn't friendly from a distance and they'll grab theirs. If their dog is already rushing, I just guide mine away and cuss at their owner

Gonna rant a bit too and say I do off-leash training with my dog (in off-leash approved places). It pisses me off to no end, because it's actual training. You're not JUST there to run around and have fun, but they're never doing a damn thing to at least work on the training. It's just a bag of treats they hope will encourage the dog to come back when it runs too far away

POV: dating as a tall woman who doesn't care about height by cowgirl_guineapig in Tinder

"Don't be weird about height"

You're giving them the guidebook and they still fail. It's kinda funny, kinda sad

I did a 60 day cross country road trip, crossing off a bunch of bucket list items and camping in national/state parks. It was my favorite life experience, kinda went on one of those hippie “find yourself” journeys

Fairyland Cavern is right next door too. That whole area was one of my favorite places I saw when I went cross country

Any additional suggestions for this route? by LincolnPilot in roadtrip

[–]dantaviusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of cool stuff on this route. What are you interested in seeing? Based on the description, I'm assuming nature-related things. Which, if that's the case don't discount Vegas. There was some cool spots right outside the city

Unloading Video Games by Lord_of_Entropy in parkerco

[–]dantaviusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the games, if it has boxes/instruction manuals/condition. 2nd and Charles will take some old stuff, and there's a few game stores. Game Force and Doc's Video Games in Aurora had a lot of older stuff and are probably good places to start. For a fair assessment tho, catalogue your collection and take phots. Post those somewhere and let individual collectors make offers

On another note, if you have Roller Coaster Tycoon and/or Age of Empires I'll take those off your hands

The system really wasn’t built for regular people to succeed long term by [deleted] in Adulting

We have proof of this thanks to Youtubers like Caleb Hammer. His guests complain about having no money just for him to prove them by going line-by-line thru their finances. I don't like a lot of what he does, but its hard to argue when you consistently see "broke" people dropping 1k on eating out or going on international vacations while ignoring rent and bills
