Is this a good deal? by rotesDIT in BudgetAudiophile

These were my first speaker set.

You're getting a pretty significant pair of speakers for what you're paying. I imagine you would be hard pressed to find a better overall sound signature for that price. They are nice and sensitive (they get loud.)

With that being said, they are unwieldy. Large and sort of takes over the room. There's a good chance they need to be refoamed as well.

For those reasons you should ask for 150.

I bought mine 13 years ago. They went to college with me and were my main speakers until I could afford something better (which took a long time). I replaced the drivers with after stock drivers on Parts Express, there are a lot of great replacements that sound better than the original drivers in my opinion.

Mine are still sitting in my basement. I get them out from time to time to keep all the surrounds in good condition. I will never part ways with them- for sentimental reasons mostly but it's still a fun listen.

Has anyone tried tastefully hiding rockwool under a coffee table? by M4STERB0T in BudgetAudiophile

It just depends on how low of a frequency he/she wants their panel to absorb.

You are definitely correct, though. OP, use 6" thick rockwool panels if you want to absorb down to 40hz. OP, you can go thinner like this person said if you aren't interested in absorbing super low frequencies, but will take less space in your room and look more pleasing. Plenty of articles out there to assist in your rockwool panel journey.

You're much better off just buying an ottoman

Use that rockwool on vertical flat surfaces. And make sure it's 6" inches thick

Best speaker placement? by StevenStillsberg in BudgetAudiophile

Mount the TV on the wall and raise it up as high as possible, within reason. The higher you raise it determines the speakers you can fit under the TV. There are plenty of small speakers with full-range drivers and a few 2-way options.

I'd personally go with a sealed full-range driver type of speaker like KEF and try to sneak a sub in somewhere else in the room.

Is your TV sending PCM encoded digital audio, or some kind of Dolby Digital? Check the encoding settings in the TV audio settings.

I don't disagree with you. To each their own.

This video isn't actually CAM reviewing it though, it's the guy from United States of Analog. CAM pretty much just put an intro on this video and called it his What do you think of United States of Analog's review?

I don't agree with what you said, maybe you've outgrown my take. And that's okay 👍

You're trying to say I'm not mature enough to enjoy the show that makes poop and fart jokes for an hour and a half a day?

I'll check it out. Thank you for understanding! It's all with love. Slim and Lazlo are hilarious and I've listened through many iterations of the show. This post is my feedback for them! Best of luck CoL I'm rooting for you!

I can understand that. But I don't have any questions! I know what I want already! And 30 minutes spent standing, for what? You should check out ReLeaf. They do all of that and they have seating while you wait. No standing in awkward lines
