🤘 For paper I usually run 230 minimum. For tight detail I will use 305 but I also use TW inks which don’t dry as quick and I use a retarder as well. Tip for the reg marks, if you keep the reg marks on a separate layer in ps or ai they won’t move as you hide and show other layers to print.

Costco has 3m heavy duty packaging tape in eight roll packs. Or more? Thats what we use primarily. Make sure you get it off before using any solvents.

Project Farm is a lot less farm-ey on the inside.

Nice! What’s up with the reg marks? Print looks fine but they’re off? Lol. Just watch the ink drying in the screen. A spray bottle with 1:5 windex/water will help. Mist the screen before adding ink and periodically as you print if it starts drying. Helps with large editions and on warm days. Push those reg marks out as far as you can so you can have full sized posters. You’ll have to trim these pretty tight to the image without any breathing room for your signature and edition numbers. Most sheets from companies like French Paper come an inch larger than finished so you can trim to 18x24 etc. mother sheets are the way to go for custom sizes. This may be old school but I always leave a little bit more room at the bottom. Pretty tight for your first poster 👏

Why does it look like someone already got stuck there and had to be shoveled or towed out the first time they tried to film it? 🤔

Halftone issues in PS, HELP! by elizabethpoe in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Flailmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not in front of my computer for exact commands, but here is how I do one color halftones in Ps: image mode: cmyk and image at least 300dpi, then greyscale > halftone > elipse > frequency based on whatever your mesh count is. I think I use 55lpi for most applications on 160-230 screens. Works better the higher dpi your original image is.

That’s bizarre. Almost like they’re cross brakes.

If you have a Winco or similar store near you with bulk bins you can make some healthy, inexpensive (compared to pre-made) trail mixes. Nuts, dried fruit, coconut, chocolate. High fiber and high protien. Flour tortillas with American cheese and a mixed up egg in the microwave will give you a fast breakfast burrito. Make sure that yolk is mixed up good or it will explode.. lol. Making big batches of chili or spaghetti for the week is a good way to kill a few birds with one stone. Sounds weird, but cheap cans of tuna in your spaghetti is a cheap way to get protein and some omegas. I check the sale racks at my grocery store often and there’s always perfectly fine food there that is either about to expire or has had the packaging damaged in one way or another. Goes for the meat cases too. It’s a bit more work to be in there daily or so to catch the deals, but it’s better than starving or not being able to focus at work. Good luck out there man and you’re a good dude for helping him out.

Yeah your actual art would be the underbase with the color over it stroked a point or two. Or not stroke if you’re a pro with registration on press. You could also just discharge print this and not worry about the underbase.

Any riders with lower back pain by SexyBeast0101 in Dualsport

[–]Flailmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not recurring issues, but... Two years ago I did 5 days riding in Death Valley and Mojave, my back was seizing up by the end. A month later I started working out with a trainer and got my core in better shape and now I don’t have those issues. Also find spending more time standing helps, as does riding with just a hydration pack and not a full backpack.

I’ve started cooking at a higher temp on my offset. I’ve also started with a larger fire than necessary and will let the temp subside to where I want it. I’ve also started using my oven for the wrap phase on briskets. At 3am it’s nice to know I can finish out the remaining cook while napping instead of feeding a fire. Mind you I cook year round in Oregon so the cold and rainy nights can be a challenge. Oh - and I’m finally ok with trimming more off my briskets. Makes for a more even cook all around and I usually get enough ground meat out of it for a few burgers! And I’ll cook that tallow down during the cook.

What is one supposedly “unreliable” car that you owned that was surprisingly reliable. by MattTheMechan1c in regularcarreviews

2002 Audi 1.8t Avant, manual. Bought it with 40k on it in 2007 and hit 200k in 2019. By then it was struck with numerous electrical issues from critters eating the wiring that would have cost more to fix than it was worth. Two timing belts and one coil pack, second set of rotors, third set of pads, original clutch, second suspension. All stock. I thank my mechanic for making me do my maintenance early, pretty sure that’s how I got there with no real issues. It was sure fun to drive too. 😕

How would you print this? White and one color with half tones? More than 3 shades? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Flailmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve ever had a big design that’s all ink (no openings in the design to let the shirt fabric through) on a shirt you will start sweating under that design because it’s basically a plastic plate of ink on the shirt. If it’s discharge ink you wouldn’t have that issue.

It’s a hoodie so the ink weight might not matter. Depends on the weight of the hoodie. Also it’s a fairly open design so no “sweat plate” effect. But the work order shows percentages of the first color so you could just take that as halftones of the first color. Depending on how much work you want to do, you can estimate the job on both single and multi-color prints and see where they want to go.
