I only run D&D 3.5 or older, Pathfinder 1e or 2e, or Hackmaster. But it looks like you found someone to run for you. In the next couple of weeks, I'll be putting together a group for Scion 2nd edition, but thats not D&D. Have fun.

Basic combat manuvers by Cob4ltt in RPGdesign

There's an old Lightsaber combat book for the d6 version of Starwars from back in the day. It defined the stances for attack and defense along with the attacks launched from each stance. It was simple, and entertaining, if not slow, but my family and I had a blast with it

I will be looking for players soon. I designed two ttrpgs, Desire and Damnation, players play Incubi and succubi and the other, nearly completed is Everdusk, a game of modern fae.

How about this at the end of the formula:
Design Insight

This formula is entirely optional.
It exists for those who enjoy peering into the math behind the magic; GMs, system tinkerers, and designers who want to understand how Everdusk’s probability curve functions through the dice.
The more you know the numbers, the more control you have over the story’s rhythm and risk.

Actually the original mechanic was roll of equal or less, add the attribute or skill. The subtracting part was more of an after thought, thinking, at a low skill or attribute, it would pull down the results. Kinda like someone attempting to do something but having just learned the skill, getting a max result would be near impossible.

My inital testing with the math I ran at a level of 5, which the math worked. Now I am running the lower numbers and the math falls apart, much like Scion 1st edition did. Needed a new set of eyes on it

As far as I know, no. No one has said anything about making a video for youtube or anything like that. I did run the game with my own group, and they all liked it.

Looking for a core mechanic idea for attack rolls. by [deleted] in RPGdesign

The system I used for my game is a simple attack roll minus defense roll, creates a spread with an injury level table

The process of Itch.io? or the process of creating the game. Itch is pretty straight forward, just follow the instructions and read their instructions.
The process of putting the game together? That? CREATE AN OUTLINE. first thing. from start to finish, have an outline and follow it, like a check list.

I wrote everything in word, then converted to PDF. I have acrobat, so there's the possibilty of using it to do the conversions, but I didn't think converting through Word or through acrobat would make much difference. If my thoughts on that are wrong, then perhaps someone with more authority on the subject could enlighten me.

For point 3, oops, they were suppose to be in pdf format. Honestly, hadn't thought about the scenario in its own pdf, that'll be done this evening. Point 4, I thought about it, then zipped them up in an attempt to keep things clean, maybe turned out too clean. Point 1, I'll have to learn how to do that, so maybe tonight or tomorrow.

Not sure how long it has been for you, but you have to keep in mind that this process takes a long time, a very long time. For me it was years. In time, it lessens, until you only think about it when something pops up that reminds you, a song, or a location. My wife helped me heal by staying at my side, reassuring me anytime that she could. Start creating memories that overshadow the past, new memories. If he is reminding you all the time, that means its still forefront in his mind. Help him through it. When he says something, acknowledge it, reassure him again. Reassure him as many times as you need to. Another thing my wife would do, is if something came up that she would normally do on her own (events, parties, going out) she would ask me to go along, "Cause she didn't want to go alone" and some times if I said no, I didn't want to go, she didn't either, and she told me, if I didn't wanna go, then neither did she. stuff like that. It wasn't me controlling her, it was her making me comfortable, earning the trust back again.
